#3149846 Saturday's How are they for you?

Posted by topchef on 29 June 2015 - 09:53 PM

I have always preferred Saturday evenings mesell.

There's rockall on the telly (well any night, to be fair) so no competition there.

Balmy summer evenings watching the sun go down.

Would rather kickoff were 18.00hrs if I was picky, though I understand the need to accommodate our VSEL brethren and all that.

A few bevvies in the bar.

The team's winning.

What more could we want?

Keep it going lads.

#3066256 Phil Clarke's latest comments are deplorable

I'm just glad that the cowardly punch didn't result in a fractured skull or even the death of a player.

I'd like to see you all try to spin that into any kind of positive publicity if that had happened.

#3009173 Sports personality of the year

He's not a non-person to me.  HTH.

Yes, we've got your message.

You don't like Union stuff on a League forum.

You don't really care for a League hero.

Yes, we've got your message.

Have you finished?

Somehow I think not!

Not if the BAE staff have anything to do with it this shift pattern is totally hated

Get your union to negotiate a way of getting onto the Kimberly Clark shift pattern.  Definitely the best there is!

I think Bret 'The Spartan' McDermott played in every position in his career with the Cumbrian clubs.

It was a discussion I had on Friday night with a few people Barry. People are bored with every topic getting hijacked with the same tripe by certain people. So they don't bother to post anymore. Don't take it as personal.

Absolutely!

A few years ago the banter was good natured and quite humorous most of the time but then came along a few who hardly ever had anything positive to say.  They became very tedious and not funny.  I know one or two folk who hardly give this forum a glance these days.  Shame really, but it is a free place and anyone can come in.

Perhaps when the Raiders have a prolonged upturn in fortunes the clowns may disappear and the banter may return.

#2855847 Slammin Sam Burgess - The Documentary

Posted by topchef on 23 December 2013 - 11:40 AM

Good news folks, the documentary has resurfaced on Vimeo.  You can download it too by selecting 'download' just below the video.

The RFL would do well to promote 'The Greatest Game of All' on the back of this remarkable family who show the image of rugby in exactly the way you would want the world to view it.

I hope this doesn't go against forum rules, copyright etc.
