#3087633 The next Martin Offiah?

Posted by Chariots on 12 March 2015 - 03:31 PM

Are you trying to cause trouble, if someone says he's like Martin Offiah because he is black and fast then I would say that's a fair point

Martin Offiah was black and fast also

Not everyone has an agenda, it's people like you that cause problems in society

Martin Offiah was black, he was an amazing Rugby player, this young lad shows a lot of promise and is also from the same ethnic background

Go get a life

#3066102 Phil Clarke's latest comments are deplorable

Posted by Chariots on 04 February 2015 - 12:13 PM

What ever anyone says its good pubicity

People who didnt know Rugby League heard about it

Saw the game or a clip of it

This made them aware of Rugby League

They saw a packed Old Trafford

Once people are aware of you, even if its for the wrong reason you then have an oppertunity to create a good impression

If you think of Cantona or even people on relatily shows, do you think he is remebered for that incident or that people remeber One Direction were on XFactor ?

You have to use all publicty to your favour

#3022252 BBC Early starts

Posted by Chariots on 29 October 2014 - 09:23 AM

Dont know about rest of you but Im loving the early starts/live games on BBC

It remnds me of 80's getting up to watch the GB tour in Australia, the 'Henderson Gill/Mike Gregoy trys etc'

Last week was great, kids in bed, me on sofa with a cup of tea - heaven........

#3012929 Red card - Good publicity ?

Posted by Chariots on 13 October 2014 - 11:15 AM

Im not saying this is the case

BUT the facts are that everyone in my office this morning was talking about the Grand Final and that punch

Many of them didnt even know rugby league existed

I know its not showing the game in the best light BUT it is putting the game in peoples minds

One football fan said to be, 'I didnt realise they got big crowds like that, Old Trafford looked packed'

Thoughts ?

Have to say I am amazed , the game has sold out and we now have a waiting list for tickets

I remember tickets going ok sale a year ago or when ever it was and thinking if we got a few thousand we would be lucky

It's going to be biggest crowd in Halifax for 25 years

Posted by Chariots on 26 September 2013 - 01:37 PM

Insanity is usually done by the same people who do

Juice plus
Get a personal trainer etc

People out for a quick fix

All you need to do is exercise and eat a good diet

There is no short cut

Go do a circuit class at the gym with other people

#2739399 Wembley offer

Posted by Chariots on 05 July 2013 - 01:10 PM

Just had an email from Wembley (must be on mailing list) and as well as trying to sell me tickets to football etc they have an offer

£60 for a club Wembley seat at World Cup semis and a £41 seat at challenge cup. To be clear that's £60 for two top tickets

Great value

#2711443 Is anyone in favour of a national stadium for rugby league?

Posted by Chariots on 30 May 2013 - 01:45 PM

Again it's fine saying we will have a hotel, offices, meetings etc but most existing stadiums etc said this and are struggling to get business, many offices and conferences rooms empty

You can talk all days about this and I would love RL to have a national stadium but we are just not big enough

We don't have the money
