You do sound rather chippy kiyan 😁

Thanks Kiyan - not sure what question you are referring to in my earlier post - I didn't ask one!. Also, as advised, I have just checked the definition of chippy again and it remains as I stated earlier. HTH.

Not the "chippy" cliche insult Kiyan. I thought you were better than that. It is trotted out by union fans every time they feel union is being criticised, no matter how justified that criticism is. I have just checked the OED for the definition of chippy and it states, "any union fan who feels compelled to post on a Rugby fans forum due to deep rooted insecurities about his / her own sport" HTH
  6. It might be worth exploring though. calling a fat person fatty or a bald person baldie is insulting but factual. Referring to them as rapists when they are not is defamation.
  7. Isn't that classed as an "hate" crime?
  8. The NRL must sue the arris off this low life piece of ####.

It doesn't take much reading to quickly learn that the ball in union will be with the spectators for most of the game. It will certainly throw some teams in RL when he starts popping up in the stands asking if the spectators have seen the ball. That would be unexpected.

    Very Sad News

Really hope he pulls through . God bless.
  11. Barry Seabourne and Steve Nash were both brilliant SH's
  12. What part of, ".........the Tigers received an additional £100,000 for their costs." makes Diamond think the cuckoo's have done nothing wrong and come out of this smelling of roses???? Perhaps we are being a tad harsh on him though and he should be forgiven because he obviously has a very limited level of intelligence. Just imagine how dangerous he would be if he had a brain.
  13. Well done the Bulls - never thought I would say that to any team for achieving zero.

    Did you see the rugger?

Oh dear, you should never ignore history. As you keep being told, there is a mutual benefit here - union clubs are not doing this out of the goodness of their hearts. As for union players being born after union went pro that actually means everyone after 1895. You have heard of shamateurism haven't you?

In the ledger analogy you might get lots of pennies in the credit column but that is overshadowed by the large number of pounds in the debit column. As for twickers - I suppose the old farts just let Rugby use it free of charge? Not!! Also, at the CC Final game in 2001 that was held at twickers, the cup was presented by a certain Tony Blair. Guess what happened immediately after the game? The old farts secreted Blair away in the inner sanctums of their lair and denied access to any of the Rugby officials. Nice chaps what?

I am not tarring all with the same brush. Unfortunately though, union arrogance knows no bounds and is prevalent throughout the sport and it is difficult to differentiate when the upper echelons of that despicable organisation behave in the way they do.. That said, I played union for 30 years and enjoyed it and also made some lifelong friends. All down to earth "working class" lads. This is not always the case though and if you think union does not have an agenda against Rugby then you are a very naïve chap. Just take a look at the examples I mentioned earlier. All is not rosy between the two sports - one is a bigoted bully who thinks nothing of trying to halt the progress of Rugby, by fair means or foul - the other is Rugby. All that cooperation you might see is completely overshadowed by the huge elephant in the room that you wish to ignore.

    Did you see the rugger?

I said therec was mutual benefit - I didn't say that union clubs would fall over without it. Get a bit of perspective! Thanks also for ignoring everything else I posted because it upsets your little agenda.

    Did you see the rugger?

With all due respect, I don't think I have missed the point at all. All I can say is that any benefit from a Rugby club playing at a union ground is going to be mutual. Yes, there is some good-will between the codes, in some instances but, just to provide some contemporaneous examples, take a look at the Solomona thread to see what union thinks of Rugby in the higher echelons. Also, read Copa's post from earlier today on the Australian union thread (cross code forum) to see that union's continued despicable attitude towards Rugby, even at the schoolboy level, is in very rude health.

Well done, you have found one. What was this "pittance"? Can you tell me what arrangements are in place at all other clubs? As they so though, the exception proves the rule. PS - I am not saying union shouldn't charge - they do!!! Your original post implied that we should doff our caps yet again to our wonderful union cousins - no we shouldn't - RL pays its way - it is purely a commercial arrangement that benefits union just as much as Rugby.

    Did you see the rugger?

True but I doubt that many, if any, of those union clubs are providing facilities for Rugby clubs from a philanthropic point of view.

    Did you see the rugger?

Not true. For the first 27 years of its existence it was the Northern Rugby Football Union. It only became Rugby League in 1922. Also, apart from, as you say, Australia impacting on international expansion - which is debateable, and without turning this cross-code, as you very well know there are other major factors - not least the influence, subversive tactics, hypocrisy, bigotry and hostility of another sport towards Rugby that, shall we say, haven't helped.
  22. Proud of the boys tonight - didn't win but on that performance they are not getting relegated. Chisholm is brilliant - hope his knee is ok.

    Bradford are not getting relegated

Yes, you are right - what I should have said is that I hope this current set of players maintain the positive mind-set they showed on Saturday

    Bradford are not getting relegated

Fully agree Gary. I just hope their mindset has changed and they continue to perform as well as they did last Saturday. If they do, they will definitely stay up. Despite whst dome detractors say, Rugby League needs a strong Bradford team. There are too few big city clubs in our comp.
