Champions St Helens made it four wins from four in Super League XX and joined Leeds at the head of the table with a 20-16 win against Wakefield

St Helens took the lead when Paul Wellens crossed on his return to the side, but Matty Ashurst quickly replied for Wakefield.

Reece Lyne then put the Wildcats in front with a smart try, a lead they held at the break.

Saints hit back though, and tries from Joe Greenwood and Jordan Turner made it 20-12 before Wakefield hit back through a clever score from Richard Owen.

An incredible set play from Tim Smith gave Wakefield a chance to snatch it late on, but despite some late pressure from Wakefield though, St Helens held on.
