Arundel could miss four months

Wakefield will discover the extent of Joe Arundel’s injury today after suffering a knee injury in their Challenge Cup victory over Sheffield Eagles.

The 44-10 victory came at a cost as Arundel suffered a nasty looking injury that could keep the centre out for four months.

“Joe had a scan on Saturday and he’s going to see the specialist [today] to go over the results,” Chester told Wakefield Express.

“We will know after that whether he is going to need any kind of surgery. Hopefully he doesn’t, but the best-case scenario is he will be out for three to four weeks.

“The worst case is four months. It is very disappointing, he has been playing very well.”
