Ben Evans joins Leigh Centurions on one-month loan

Warrington Wolves have confirmed that forward Ben Evans will join Championship side Leigh Centurions on a month’s loan with immediate effect.

Since making his Warrington first-team debut back in 2014 Evans has made 22 appearances for the club’s senior side.

However, last year he suffered a serious hamstring injury which ruled him out for almost an entire year.

He didn’t make his return from that setback until this February, before spending time with Warrington’s reserve team and dual-reg side Rochdale Hornets.

Leigh coach Neil Jukes said: “We are a bit down on troops in the next couple of weeks and it was important we did things right by the team and ensured there was enough cover and strength and competition for places.

“We are always on the look-out for good, young and hungry players and Ben has enough Super League experience to add to our team and enhances the strength across the board.”
