Ben Westwood wary of underdog opponents in Challenge Cup

Despite being arguably the most dominant force in the Tetley’s Challenge Cup in recent years, Warrington captain Ben Westwood is still wary of their opponents this weekend – as they look to launch another charge to the final.

The Wolves have won the Cup three times in the last five years, with Hull Kingston Rovers standing in their way this weekend, as they look to win the trophy again. However, despite Rovers’ mixed start to the Super League season, Westwood is refusing to take anything for granted.

“They’ve just hit some form and at home they’re a very good team,” Westwood told the official Warrington website. “They’ve always been difficult to beat and we were embarrassed by them a few years back.

“It’s the first round for us, and it’s going to be a real tough ask – everything is on the line again this weekend.

“If we do what we do well, hopefully we can come out on top. We will do everything in our power to try and get to that final.”
