Brian Noble on Bradford Bulls’ possible ascent to Super League

BRIAN NOBLE has said it is business as usual for Bradford Bulls despite ongoing talks of a return to Super League once the top division expands to 14 clubs next season.

As soon as the move was announced, Bradford’s name was thrown into the ring as having the potential to be one of the two clubs that will be selected by a panel for promotion to Super League.

While no decision has yet been made, Noble has called for clarity as soon as possible so that they, and any other potential Super League candidate, can get the best possible preparation for 2026 – whatever league they find themselves in.

“We had to speak about it with the players on Wednesday, but basically nothing changes for us,” said Noble following the 30-10 win over Halifax Panthers on Friday.

“We just have to finish as high as we possibly can on the league ladder. That is still our aim, and then the powers that be that make that decision will let us know – hopefully at some stage before the start of next season if that is us or not.

“It is difficult, but I have impressed on the players that the reality that nothing has changed for us and whatever outcomes they wanted, or whatever their aims for this season – they’re still obtainable.

“We don’t know anything in terms of a timescale of any decisions being made so we will carry on regardless – what else can we do?

“But it will be difficult for whoever gets the nod because they will be behind the eight ball and I hope they factor that in to next season, whether that’s in Super League or the Championship.”
