Huddersfield Giants have been dealt a major blow ahead of this weekend’s clash against St Helens, after Danny Brough was left out of their 19-man squad to face the table-topping Saints.
A win for the visitors will ensure they end the regular season as the league leaders – and their task has been made a lot easier via the absence of the Scotland international.
Brough, who won League Express’ Albert Goldthorpe Medal for the third time earlier this week, has only missed one Super League game so far this year, but will take no part on Friday after Paul Anderson left him out of his 19-man squad.
