Castleford Tigers fear nobody, says Daryl Powell

Castleford Tigers head coach Daryl Powell has declared that his side fear nobody in their quest for Super League success this season, with the season having reached a point where everyone has played each other once.

The Tigers will be looking to cement their position inside the top four with a victory against Hull Kingston Rovers on Sunday, and Powell – who has masterminded the Tigers’ resurgence in 2014 – claims if his team are on form, they should be good enough to get the result.

“I don’t think there’s anybody for us to fear,” Powell claimed.

“It’s not a matter of having extra confidence because we’ve already beaten them. We are aware now that it doesn’t matter who we play against – we have played everybody now – we are going to be competitive if we are on our game.

“We’ll certainly have some tough games as we go through the season, but we should have plenty of confidence.

“Sunday’s game is another one where we need to turn up and play well and if we do then we can be pretty confident that we’ll be good enough to get the two points.”
