Castleford Tigers prop Andy Lynch has targeted a trip to Wembley this weekend – but not just for him, for club chairman Jack Fulton.
Fulton is a chairman who rarely takes up any of the spotlight in comparison to his peers, and the in-form Lynch believes it would be an honour to be led out on to the famous Wembley turf by Fulton, saying it would mean the world for the team to do it for their chairman.
“One thing that sticks out in my mind is if we did get there, it’d be for Jack Fulton,” Lynch said.
“He doesn’t rant and rave like other chairman shouting about things. Jack just stays in the background and lets Powelly get on with it.
“It’d mean a hell of a lot for him and it’d be great for him to lead us out at a Challenge Cup final. He’s done massive things for this club, stuff which goes unnoticed really. It’d be a great honour to be there with him.”
