He’s one of the most talked about players in the game, but Leigh Centurions halfback Rangi Chase insists he loses no sleep over the perception of himself in the media.
Chase has hit the headlines on countless occasions this year, for both positive and unwanted reasons.
However the former England halfback and Man of Steel revealed he has no time for the opinions of others, excluding his family.
“I just seem to rub people up the wrong way,” said Chase.
“I don’t take any interest though. A lot of people always have things to say and when my name is mentioned there always seems to be controversy surrounding it, but it’s just something I’ve got used to if I’m honest.
“I know what I’m capable of, I am who I am. I’m doing what I’m doing for me and my kids, nobody else. That’s all that matters to me. Everyone else’s opinion is their problem, not mine.”
