Warrington winger Chris Riley has joined Wakefield Wildcats on a month-long loan.
The 26-year-old has made 180 appearances during his eight seasons with the Wolves, scoring 120 times, but has fallen out of favour in 2014, making only one start. Youngster Gene Ormsby has impressed in Riley’s position this season and it seems coach Tony Smith is sticking with him.
Riley is set to go straight into the Wildcats’ 19-man squad for Sunday’s clash with Catalan Dragons.
“We have injuries and suspensions in the backs so his experience will really help us out over the next month and he will bring a lot of energy to our team,” said Wildcats coach Richard Agar.
