London Broncos have named new signing Denny Solomona in their 19-man squad to face Wolves on Sunday, after it was announced he is set to arrive in the UK tomorrow morning.
The 20-year-old full-back or winger has been described by leading Australian journalist Phil ‘Buzz’ Rothfield as ‘freakishly talented’ and ‘faster than Billy Slater’.
The New Zealand-born flyer signed from Melbourne Storm at the beginning of the year but has been waiting for his visa application to be processed.
Broncos coach Tony Rea said: “He’s been champing at the bit for a long time. He wanted to be playing with the boys and we’ve responded to that. We’ll check him out tomorrow in the run and see how he is, but it’s fantastic that he wants to be out on The Hive playing.”
The 19-man squad in full: Jordan Atkins, Mike Bishay, Mason Caton-Brown, Matt Cook, James Cunningham, Josh Drinkwater, Ben Farrar, Carl Forster, Alex Foster, George Griffin, Olsi Krasniqi, Iliess Macani, Michael McMeeken, Thomas Minns, Scott Moore, Jamie O’Callaghan, Nick Slyney, Denny Solomona, Jon Wallace.
