Crowd trouble overshadows Salford victory

Salford players Junior Sa’u and Justin Carney were involved in an altercation with their own fans after wives and children were being squashed.

The incident happened following the end to the match, which Salford won 26-24, when Salford fans allegedly ran to the front after a fellow supporter was stopped by stewards after jumping over a barrier.

The Salford duo were seen racing over after apparent cries for help.

Salford tweeted through their official account, saying: “We do not condone any behaviour of the sort.”
