Huddersfield Giants have confirmed that promising prop Tyler Dickinson shall remain at Keighley for the 2016 season.
Dickinson spent the second half of the 2015 on loan with the Cougars following a brief spell with Halifax beforehand, and both Keighley and the Giants have now agreed to extend his loan to give him a more extensive stint of first-grade Rugby League.
The 19-year-old has played for England’s Academy and is rated highly at the Giants and also at the Cougars, who were keen to retain his services for next season as they go in search of promotion to the Championship.
“The continuation for Tyler at Keighley is perfect for his development.” Huddersfield head coach Paul Anderson told the club’s official website.
“He, like all our players here, faces a tough pre-season campaign and I expect him to make some significant strength and fitness gains which he then has to transfer onto the field in terms of performance. Marchy has given him an opportunity and last year he took it so I look forward to him pushing on again next year in what I’m sure will be a Keighley team that will expect to be at the top end of that league.”
