Ticket sales for the England v New Zealand game at The Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park on Saturday November 7 have just broken the 15,000 barrier.
There has been a lot of interest in the international series and fans are quickly snapping up tickets to experience the Olympic Stadium in London which will host Rugby League for the first time in November 2015 when England face the Kiwis in the second game of a three-match series.
RFL Marketing Director Mark Foster said: “This is fantastic news and just shows how popular the decision was to take an international Rugby League fixture to Olympic Stadium.
“The facilities at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park are world-class and fans wanting to experience another major event there after the Olympics and Paralympics in 2012 are guaranteed some action-packed entertainment between England and New Zealand.
“There has been huge interest in all three games of the series and we expect to see the sold out signs going up as we get closer to kick-off.”
England’s international schedule kicks off at Leigh Sports Village on Saturday October 24 (2.00pm) with a match against France.
The three-game series against New Zealand starts at the KC Stadium, Hull on Sunday November 1 (5.00pm) moving on to The Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London on Saturday November 7 (2.30pm). The series concludes at the DW Stadium, Wigan on Saturday November 14 (1.00pm).
