Extra time rules spelt out ahead of cup clashes

The Rugby Football League has reminded teams taking part in tomorrow’s first round ties in the Conference Challenge Trophy as to procedure if scores are level on 80 minutes.

Games are to be settled on `Golden Point’, with the first side to score points of any kind being declared the winners.

An RFL spokesman said: “Teams are to toss a coin at the start of the `Golden Point’ extra time period to determine who kicks off and who receives. Teams will change round after each 10-minute period if required.”
