Featherstone eye up two more signings

Featherstone head coach Jon Sharp has revealed that he wants to sign two more players ahead of the 2017 season.

Sharp has managed to add six players to his squad so far ahead of the new campaign, with Luke Briscoe, Keal Carlile, James Duckworth, Michael Knowles, Richard Moore and Chris Ulugia all joining to club.

However, the Rovers chief confirmed that he would like to add a couple more yet, although he is in no rush.

“I’m looking at maybe two more players.

“We could do with another two in, but there’s no rush. It doesn’t need to be done before Christmas. There’s usually someone who pops up around February or March time when you least expect it. We do need a few more, but we aren’t going to go out and buy for the sake of buying.”

Sharp was speaking to League Express for a piece looking ahead to the club’s chances in 2017. To read the feature, buy a copy of League Express now, available in stores or online at TotalRL.com/le
