So sky has stopped RL games on CH4 from being recorded apparently, just checked and I can't series link or record nexr Saturdays game, but it's possible on virgin, BT etc.
Hopefully this is just a fault, but seems very odd.

Adam Hills is on Sunday Brunch this week. I wonder if he's there to push the coverage as the new anchor?

"A sport" that includes SL, Champ and all levels below etc.
Last I heard we have four English professional teams that are not from the North
If you meant Super League and not the sport of rugby league then why focus only on saying "all the English clubs"?
Because if you meant SL then of course not all the clubs are Northern are they?
The competition that C4 have rights to is Super League.
It is a competition that 18 months ago, replaced a team from Toronto with a second team from Wigan.
I've no issue with Vernon Kay calling it exactly what it is.

Did similar at York before moving on to fev , loyalty in the modern game is priceless
No he didn't, he signed for us on a trial and train contract and unfortunately broke his foot before getting a chance to play. The Knights have no issues at all with the lad.

I can't see the shorts on the pic. Usually these types of kits have a big white block on the back so you can see the number.
Here's a slightly better pic mate, not sure why that first one has been cropped!

Your maths is correct, and that statement it true. However, that Wigan club merged / was taken over by Upholland a few years later, then disbanded in 1877.
The current Wigan club was formed as Wigan Wasps in 1879, changing their name to Wigan Football Club the following season. I understand that the club are aware of this, but are persisting with claiming this is their 150th year. It is not.
To Waynebennetswinger's point above, I have been in touch with the club, but they have so far failed to response. I'm sure most people aren't really bothered, but to me, it's a matter of important historical accuracy, and quite disrespectful that the most illustrious club in our sport has such disregard for their own heritage.
Still, nice shirts
We (York City Knights) celebrated 150 years of York RL in 2018, despite only forming in 2002. It's a nice nod to a bit of history and a good little marketing angle. Certainly nothing to get upset about.

I like the new Wigan shirts, and think the ability to buy without the main sponsors logo is great (whatever the circumstances behind it). However, for the avoidance of doubt, and to ensure that everyone's aware that they are re-writing history by celebrating it early, 2022 is NOT Wigan's 150th year.
"On 21 November 1872, Wigan Football Club was founded by members of Wigan Cricket Club following a meeting at the Royal Hotel, Standishgate."
I make that 150 years...

So what do they do if they play a team in white?
Play in the predominantly navy kit with navy shorts, I imagine...

Thread drift, but the last time I did Workington to York I did it in 2.5 hours each way. *shrugs*

It is diluted. Never used to be
Many of those clubs died off because the areas they were in were oversaturated, not because we dared to try and play the game in London.

Give over. That is hands down the best shirt in the division in 2022.
