2nd post. You're slacking TRL...

Do you think Leeds may have already eyed him up at Saints, and had an influence in him signing for Hunslet in the first place?
If so, its an interesting use of the partnership. Could have upsides and downsides I suppose.
Either way, I hope the lad does well.

they were the exception rather than the rule though weren't they gav, now every club from super league is looking at the domestic competition more than ever to find the stars of tomorrow, i well remember broughy playing for york at the time widnes were searching for a scrum half and were trawling the australian game, and danny was plying his trade in the lower leagues over here.......
Indeed. I wouldn't say these Championship kids are being looked at just because of the licensing system though, there will be plenty of factors in every move.

great to see any championship player getting a shot as SL, the fascination with over the hill antipodeans looks to be a thing of the past thanks to licensing as these lads would never have got a chance under the old system.
You are absolutely spot on.
Regards,
Danny Brough, Peter Fox, Matt Blaymire and Jon Wilkin.

Got told two weeks ago he is going to Donny.
He's signed for Workington.

But Spain have, and they have P&R.
They also have 'A' teams in the lower leagues too...

I think Featherstone are particularly vulnerable in this structure. I'll say why in League Express on Monday.
Featherstone themselves seem to think otherwise.
(Thats not to say I agree with it though.)

In football, the leading clubs are often prepared to play weakened teams in the FA Cup in order not to prejudice their chances of earning a place in Europe by finishing in the top four in the league table.
In the Capital One Cup maybe, they certainly don't in the FA Cup.

Just noticed I have a warning point off a Featherstone moderator after trying to defend their club from libellous comments in January. Lovely stuff.
Do we have a facepalm smiley...?

Tomorrow's chippy dinner is certainly going to be one to remember...

I'm pleased that LE has expressed an editorial opinion. Please take note LoveRugbyLeague.
Just for you mate...

Yes, it's not massively in depth but a good read. I access love rugby league through the iphone app so I missed these. Also worth noting that I think there's a performance issue with the live scores page as it times out unless you have 3G, and won't load on E.
Cheers for the feedback mate, if you ever have anymore then please get in touch. We always want to improve!

Fill your boots mate, I'm actually just writing mine now too as it happens...

Good news.
Hopefully the new stadium will help York become a solid Championship club by 2014.
A reasonable size too for a club our size (unlike Donny at the Keepmoat).
If theres provisions for future expansion and surrounding transport links are improved, then I think York are finally on to a winner!
