I call bull on this. How is formula e got a greater participation than gymnastics.
It also doesn't say that? Neither of those two sports are in the top twenty for participation in that chart.

This is quite interesting. Rugby League is ranked the 9th biggest sport by size of engagement base, but only ranks 18th in engagement amongst 'Gen Z' (18-24 year olds).
Rugby Union is ranked the 4th biggest sport, but doesn't even register.
Something that IMG will surely focus on moving forward...

They could build a massive estate of 75,000 homes just outside York to increase their catchment?
Planning permission has just gone through for 300 new houses on the field behind the new stadium, so theres a start!

But still with the RFL to review the process, having had a few clubs challenging or changing their score late in the day, and the results of that review not likely to be known in December.
I'd say if that review results in changes to the scoring, it would be risky to still plough on with it for 2025.
Thats the whole point of testing, no?

I don't actively want it to take the game backwards, but just as much as you think it will work I do not have any confidence in it being beneficial.
I honestly do think that clubs need to take stock and improve their lot but this system is to finite and was delivered to quick, other than you believing there should be a lull of 3 years, how about if this was introduced over 3 years instead of this WAM BAM THANK YOU MAM method.
Clubs voted it through six months ago, and have another year to prepare for its first implementation. That's plenty long enough.

We know what impact licensing had on the Championship last time. Crowds and interest went down notably.
Did it?

I can see Leeds finishing 2nd bottom just above London however, now they know they are Band A and safe from ever getting relegated
I think this is a reflection of your own mindset more than anything else.

I don't know of any current UK RL supplier doing this kind of raised heat applied badge you can see in the picture so it might be a bit of a left field move.
Errea in 2018 and Supro in 2019 did them on some York stuff.

I'd be happy with it!

maybe... but back in the eighties I stopped going to Anfield and stopped my season ticket because I didn't have the choice to have sugar in my cuppa tea, that is it came out of a big teapot in which sugar was already added and it was that or nowt... I have never been back since
May be weird but it come down to choice... same as being able to purchase in cash or not. Yep I can see how it can be easier for many but ultimately you have had choice taken away.
BTW, I am scouser and a key trait to many of us ... is to cut off one's nose to spite yer face...
anyway... choice is always being eroded in favour of what is deemed better by some company or institution... whose knows were the little things start and the trend ends...
weird maybe...
Yeah... that's weird.

Good and when you are carp on the field of play, you can sit back and wallow in well spent points.
It's not an either/or, Harry. Clubs improving is a good thing.

They weren't bothered about my user experience when they stopped accepting cash for food and drink midseason this year Gav!
I stopped buying things in the stadium after that and got my pie and pint before/afterwards elsewhere - I'll keep my £7.80 thanks, that'll teach them when they add up their finance data for the grading!
Weird thing to get annoyed about to be honest mate.

looks like York have signed another Thunder player, that's two in two days, the way it's going Thunder won't have anyone left from this season if they are going to re-form for next season.
In fairness these two deals were done long before Thunder announced their withdrawal.

Can we stop having events in Newcastle now that there is no semi pro team and no chance of further expansion there?
The hotels for magic are ludicrous compared to everywhere else
Thats not a Newcastle thing...

I was referring to Facebook followers which is 9.5k, you are correct 20.5 on Twitter which I personally don’t use much. I guess then apart from the match day experience and other areas the club might want to figure out why they only have half of the Twitter followers on Facebook. For Bradford it’s pretty much the same amount on both platforms. I’m not bored/sad enough to work out other clubs
When I took over as media manager in December 2016 we managed to get the Twitter login details off the old regime. Sadly the previous Chairman had completely torpedoed the Facebook page (with 12k likes if I remember right), so I had to start that from scratch.
