The previous administration killed rugby league in Oldham. I hope the new boys can breathe new life into the rugby league community in Oldham. What they've done up to now is fantastic.
Yes they did everything to kill RL and I cant help feeling frustrated and angry lookin back at a generation of poor management and selfish decision making
We are now light years ahead of where we were 18 months ago and I'll support this board and management to the hilt while they start to slowly repair the massive damage thay was left behind

That's 3 big players missing for us. I was quietly confident before those injuries but I think York will turn us over now....I'll go York by 8, really looking forward to the game though and hope my prediction is massively wrong

Iβm just asking a question, itβs been the same team every week and it seems like itβs all the players from last year getting left out which is a shame, similar to the situation with Dave, no one wants to see those who have been loyal to the club pushed asideΒ
If I was oldham coach I would have done the same as Longy.Β Get the same team rolling at the start of the season, get a good cup run in the 1895 and CC with the same team and start to give some of the other players a chance in some of the early less risky league games. They then get a chance to prove themselves

Fantastic efforts Dave delivering a fantastic, up to date, professional website to be proud of.Β Im sure we were the envy of a lot of RL clubs.Β Thanks for your voluntary work on this, it's much appreciated by us fans

He's class this lad. Might not get a start straight away because of how good Rawsthorne and Mo are on the wing but I think once he gets his chance he'll take it.
Agree, he's quick off the mark, has good feet and a brave runner, I think he'll be more involved than others thinkΒ

Can't see.it being on Rochdale football on the Saturday is off.Β
Even if we had a big thaw - the football club are not going to want the Rugby lads ruining the pitch

Roughyeds 2023 seating season ticket Β£180 for 12 games prorated at a substandard stadium. 2024 price looks pretty good to me!
An improvement fair enough .... but Β£180 for 12 games at Whitebank was pretty poor to start off with! (Nothing to do with the current owners of course )

Roughyed season ticket Β£200 for 12 home games.
Latics season ticket was Β£270 for 23 home games.
I'll still buy a Roughyed season ticket but I don't think the value is that great
EDIT
Latics just announced half season ticket for 12 home games at Β£160.Β Our rugby season tickets are over priced IMO

I thought SL's comments were that he was honest with the players from the start and we would be DR with Wigan.Β With a squad of 29 and a small fixture list I doubt we'll need it too certainly not reliant on it like we have been in the past.

Well what a night! Tonight just topped all of the pre-season activity and signings with positivity, transparency, clear ambition and direction from a board who are professional, knowledgeable and driven to get us back where we should be.
We are blessed to have these people running our club and I cant be any happier after hearing what they had to say and the plans for the future.
The simple things like providing the players kit for preseason, making merchandise available for xmas, early season ticket pricing show their attention to detail.
This is the complete opposite to where we were 12 months ago under the previous stewardship.
We're back!! ....and its up to everyone on here to spread the gospel, the Hamilton lost generation is over, dead and buried, we now have new owners and we are going back to where we belong οΈ

Sad to disappoint you but it is true , I managed to get my mobile number to the former player who at their request will remain unnamed . They forwarded me the text which I have read , they alsoΒ confirmed both they and several others were released this way . I very much doubt all 12 were released this way but would 12 phone calls really have been so hard in this era of rugby league cares and mental health etc . I'm not saying that I think most of the 12 should have been retained , I have issues with the way Fordy has handled it .I offered to have my HR speak with the former player but he said he was OK and had a HR at his main employer anyway.
So for the other posters it isn't BS I don't have an agenda apart from wanting Oldham to succeed but for any who believe I have some different agenda IΒ quite frankly don't care . Yes I have the right to an opinion as do you ,maybe as a Sam Burgess fan the glasses I wear aren't as rose tinted when it comes to Fordy , yes I think he has done a lot of good for Oldham and I have praised him for this , but I will not ignore when I think he has got things wrong .Β
The text is not nasty but I am reluctant to post it just in case there are subtle differences in each text which could identify the player , my issue is you DO NOT treat people this way .ΒMate of mine is one of the released, not done by text, we move on

I am guessing 24 game season, play each other three times, Twice at home and once away for four teams and the reverse for the other four teams. If I am right, ( and according to my wife I never am) the thought of visiting Le parque de Spotland twice must excite you all.
1 league, 23 teams, regional split for games, to be discussed and finalised
