We need much more transparency so that some fans can expose the errors, bias and plain incompetence of the MRP. After all, what do the members of the MRP know about the rules, about reviewing the evidence in a calm and considered way, and about reaching decisions based on fact not club and player loyalties or antagonism. Much more reliance should be placed on fans interpretation of single-frame screenshots taken from videos shot from favourable or unfavourable angles.
Oh for god’s sake stop it, you’re just being deliberately sensible now

All the arm waiving and the deliberate inflaming of “incidents” by running in needs to stop with that either done by the players and coaches ceasing to behave like that or a clampdown for a week or so with the dugout benches or chairs being warmed up for 10 minutes on a regular basis.
Running in used to be a sending off, certainly was when I was reffing, there didn’t have to be any contact, that was “running in and striking”

Effective in defence certainly, and exploited Catalansdill-discipline very well, though both Bentley and Newman very luckly to remain on the pitch, Newman in particular sceaming obscenities at the ref on more than one occasion as if he were on a night out in Leeds city centre. Appaling individual who in Jim Mills and Mike Nicholas days would have enjoyed some correctional attention.
A great young player but to me he comes across as a deeply unpleasant character

I refer you to a game at St Helens when Josh Griffin snapped his achilles and fell to the ground in pain releasing the ball as he did. Every player on the pitch saw what happened and stopped apart from Fages who picked the ball up and ran under the sticks with it, punching the air with delight.
Ref had to give the try even though it was ungentlemanly conduct.
Hence, as far as I'm concerned, he's a cheating tw @.
You play to the whistle, drummed into every player from the very first time they touch the ball

Jealousy
shouldn’t we be raising standards instead of trying to drag Catalan down?

You know what?
I don’t care, I don’t care about video ref calls, alleged forward passes or ball steals.
I care that we (an English club) beat the Aussies and now it’s our turn to say “you lost, deal with it” after years of shall we say “contentious” aussie refereeing decisions

My new band Rise Like Lions have got our first gig!!
Saturday 16th March at The Red Rooster Brighouse
It’s a benefit for Andy’s Man Club which I’m sure you’ll all agree is a very worthwhile cause.
We’re on from 9pm and can guarantee a rousing session of old school punk.
Would be great to see some of you lot there.
Our drummer Tim scored a try in a genuine professional match!!!

I'm a Wigan fan and I think it is OK to say the Wardle try was a poor decision while still saying the game was outstanding and Wigan deserved the win with a superbly gutsy performance.
These things are not mutually exclusive.
I agree but in some areas of soshul meeja it’s just a huge pile on, lots of it by English fans and I don’t get why.
A great night for Wigan but also for English rugby league in my opinion

I have to say I’m a tad disappointed at fans of English clubs joining the pile on against the officials and by extension Wigan.
My opinion is that this is a huge plus for English rugby league as well as the Wigan club

A wee bit of hubris I reckon. I remember an aussie ref who I won’t name robbing England blind down under a few years ago.

I support the new protocols, I believe player safety and their future mental and neurological safety are paramount, but… that was an accident, it wasn’t an attack to the head, it wasn’t even careless, Brown was spun round by the impetus of his own player, there was absolutely nothing he could do about it.

Brown’s punishment at the disciplinary will be interesting
Surely for justice to be seen to be done it should be sending off sufficient

That's a kop out for them. They should be using common sense too.
I know i will get criticism but these two should get dropped.
Problem is if they use “common sense” and don’t red something like that they will get dropped. Into the championship or lower.

So if Brown had been knocked cold would Currie have been walked?
