There was a proper tag league 10 years ago, that became affiliated with the RFL and helped them to get the original Sport England funding.
Prior to then, there was no laws, regulations, officials, etc.
It saw pre-match entertainment at the Semi's of the Challenge Cup final.
This was no way part of Try Tag Rugby.
The RFL then canned it off, the league was disbanded and then only played friendlies - none of these teams play anymore.
Tag rugby could be huge, but it won't.

For a few seasons I was club photographer at Featherstone and was lucky enough to be part of a very successful era at the club.
Seeing many successful moments, but also seeing some incredible lows.
A few years ago I published a post on Sporting Memories website (who do incredible work) - the post was in 2013, see:
https://rugby.sportingmemories.net/memory/2688-chris-taylor/
This image was one of my favourite ones from that year.
The then coach, Danny Evans celebrating winning the league for the fourth year on the trot - after quite a traumatic season!

Thanks Chris, I try my best.
Although I'm a snapper at Featherstone, this past year I've tried to learn more about landscapes, portraits, etc.
Here's a few on Flickr.
1. 2. & 3. are from Newmillerdam in Wakefield - Lovely place to relax and an unwind.
4. & 5. Wintersett, Wakefield
I really would like to get out more with the camera, so if anybody wants to meet up and do some location photography, get in touch.

Great photo, really enjoyed looking at your pictures.

I know we are in a food & drink section, but I thought i'd bring home the bad side of Christmas and drink driving.
I saw this campaign today on my Twitter feed and thought i'd share some of the scary facts with you.
See: http://www.drink-driving-limit.co.uk/
What do you think? What scares you the most?

Hi Folks,
I could do with a favour on Sunday and i definately require your help and co-operation.
As you well know its the big one and we have a great support backing us I'll be getting a few crowd shots and I want a picture of the whole supporters in the South Stand voicing up / arms in the air getting behind the folks.
I want the noise to be so load you'll knock old skinny bean over
A fine example of this (but better on Sunday) is pictured below.
Do you reckon you could do this?
Cheers,
Chris

What does 100k buy nowadays? One good player for a season, unless its 990,00 pounds but I guess if it was they would say so.
100k could go a long way! It costs 50k a year for a good academy structure.....

Final no.1 on Sunday, who's off?
Should be a cracking game, lets hope we can turn it around this time.
Good luck.
-
Congratulations to the reserves on a great victory against Widnes

Welcome aboard and all the best.

Maybe, but having an extra option in the forwards would be good, we seemed a tad light once Morrison was injured.
-
Had a surprising number of folk at work congratulating the club today and asking about the final & tickets!
-
I personally believe he's a fantastic referee and will do a great job on Thursday.

Oh my gosh so this is what Chris Westwood looks like naked with a flat cap, pipe and a rover dog!
-
Chris, Superb picture. She should be so proud.
Hope you don't mind me putting my angle in:

My old man and I wouldn't mind one of the pics of the lads with the flag behind the sticks framed if thats ok? Will chat Friday about brass etc!
Sure no worries.

There was a tag league that had teams connected with clubs, with Featherstone having the official tag team (along with wheelchair, touch, and ladies team).
Teams from Hull, Wakefield, Leeds, Rochdale, Warrington, Leigh, Castleford, Wigan and more.
