To me, there is too much riding on the coin toss in a golden point. Unless you start to take the kick from further back, there is too much of an advantage. That's not to say things don't go against the general way however.
I'd choose a next try situation. Requires a bit more skill and is less reliant on field position.
Yeah, like all of the legend's© tries for Skints, I suppose.
10 minutes each way, then next score of anykind would be better for full time players, but for semi-pro sides, next score of any kind is tense enough.
Not exactly like every game goes to it anyway.

Where I live now is a really quiet part of town, but real drama this morning as a went for my bus.
The nurse/helper had obviously failed to get into the house opposite the bus stop, feared the worse, and the rapid response paramedic and an actual ambulance was there.
Still no answer/response, and then the police arrived, complete with door ram.
By this stage the emergency services blocked the road, so traffic was turning round trying to get out another way.
The door was smashed open, and 15 minutes later the old guy who lived there was brought out, a bit but not majorly bloodstained, walking with aid, and laid on the trolley to go to hospital.
He looked awful, though, really grey skin, obviously very ill.
Hope he's ok .
I know the medics round here are pretty good.
Yes I was late for work, but not an issue with why my bus was delayed.

Your'e never alone with a clone. Why do you think he's called "two Bobs"

He must have mellowed, scariest autograph I ever asked for as a kid, was a damp and windy Saturday morning, he was jogging off Robin Park after training, we were with Westy on a tour of the clubs facilities..................not that it sticks in the memory 20 odd years after the event or anything!
Did he charge?
Harry Hill.

Where is Wignes?

Bramley finally reffed as they should be.
Nothing else to say, they have been very "physical" in the last few seasons, from what reports I've read and heard elsewhere.(Some have been Hemel, not renowned for being reticent in the physical aspects of our game... )
Not season over though, is it?

i-player?
My pc hates it, it's old, clunky, and my connection isn't that good anyway, mobile dongly thingy.
So, not an option, see SQL, you'll see the cup final is un-marked for that reason.
I'm happy to have a cheap sh!te connection rather than none at all, though, that's the main thing.

Furious with my self, cos I thought it was on at 6pm, not 5......
Bottom line, then is no, not me...

... it drops short as the hooter sounds.
Wigan 26 Leeds 27.
Amazing dramatic end to an amazing, enthralling game.
Thank you 5 live extra for superb commentary, yet again.
-
Penalty awarded to Wigan just in Leeds half as Macguire is carried off.
Kick pending.......
-
Both touchies on, 10 seconds left, who gets the pen and where.....
Sorry, 5 seconds.
-
Sinfield drop.
4 1/2 to go.
-
26 all, 6 to go.
-
Still a lot later than Warrington on Friday then.
Possibly, didn't see the game, 5 live extra again.
-
how long to go?
Just over 10 I think.
-
what time does the wigan walk start?
If Leeds score next, then just before the conversion.
-
Got it 5 live extra, and yes, they said Tomkins gets awarded dubious penalties, he's renowned for it.
Enthralling game though, and decent commentary not a pair of muppets.

New update on NRL crowds:
Gold Coast vs NZ Warriors 27,046
Wests Tigers vs Sydney Roosters 33,315
Penrith Panthers vs Canberra Raiders 16,668
St. George Dragons vs Manly Sea Eagles 15,574
Total: 92,603
The trouble is, these games will have had massive media exposure down under, compared to barely a quarter page for all fixtures over here, due to footy, cricket etc.
Give us more hype here in the press, and crowds could well increase, if not to match those figures, at least to challenge stadia capacities.
Doesn't always relate to media coverage, though, as Newcastle Falcons yawnion got less than 6k on Friday, while Skints got 14,6k.

Jesus!
He should have walked too.

Max and you want to talk about unfair comparisons
1995 to 1997 was one of the lowest ebbs in RL with a civil war tearing the game apart
It was in Australia, the only way it affected us was the touring test side, and the WCC.
Otherwise we were domestically untouched, no rival competition/tv deal to fight over.
UK stats are valid in this period for comparison, but stats down under need to bear the S/L war in mind.
-
Scored for Wires in our only S/L win v Skints, though he had the ball dropped at his feet 10 yards out with no-one to beat.
He was a centre, then.

Gonna listen on Blunderside.
Can they be biased to 2 teams at once?
-
You guys need to get a life!!!
...he said, posting on here too....
-
The announcement said 14,600!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Definately a lot more there than last week which was just over 14,000.
Sporting Life quotes 14,632, but the wireless was adamant it was sold out at over 17k.
Most odd.
Anyway, decent turnout for a nothing to lose game no matter how you look at it.
