I think Walsh is unbelievable . Very few players just make you sit forward in your seat when they get involved in the game . He is that player , his acceleration off the mark , his speed , his agility and game breaking prowess are just incredible . He’s the best already

I've seen him play before but he seemed to take it to another level today. He was absolutely fantastic to watch.

On Wednesday, Robbo sent me a text saying that Bet365 were offering odds of 10/1 on Lewis Martin scoring a try at any point in the game. I replied saying I wouldn't fancy 10/1 on any Hull try scorer at any point in the game.

When I told him Martin had scored last night he replied "You could have got 16/1 on him today!

    Sheesh!

I know he's got an eye for an opportunity but I bet even Robbo didn't fancy that.

I think, to be fair to Bill, no one could have possibly guessed what was going to happen in that Jack Welsby try so he had no time to formulate something snappy.

Dave on the other hand had time to make up the beautifully inspiring "(Insert Name Here) is a Leigh/Hull KR legend! Wow!", given that the game was in GP and a single moment was going to win the game immediately.

Dave Woods certainly had time to be ready with my favourite quote of his "Old Faithful, they have  won at Wembley".

"Everybody's saying 'Go, go, go! And he goes!'"

Every Rugby League fan should know this like soccer fans know Wolstenholme, but we simply don't celebrate our glorious history.

Ray French's best was the Hanley "he's still going" one.

These guys deservedly got criticism but they could on occasion summon up a memorable phrase in a memorable moment. Our current Sky commentators are more solid plodders but I don't think they can reach memorable heights.

Still makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

At least you've made a comment, I'm used to the hundreds of sad faces from you that accompany any post that doesn't show Hull KR in a favourable light.

I do sometimes post positive stuff about them but you never seem to comment on that.

I like to think of it as a quality assurance mark.

If you get one you know you must be doing something right.

It's easy to get depressed about the statistics on various species of bird being in decline, either in this country or elsewhere or both.  However, in a UK context, the egret family are doing well and give us something to be cheerful about.

It's interesting, Ullman, that you are now seeing little egrets in the East Riding.  I saw my first, decades ago, in France and got very excited at the time.  Then they spread across the channel, initially I suspect to over-winter on river estuaries, and then they began to breed here.  I know see them in quite urban contexts (eg flying over and within Salisbury city centre), and at all times of year.

Next, there were occasional sightings of wintering great white egrets, and now they are sometimes reported in places like old mineral working based bird reserves in totals up to four or five (eg that sort of number at Blashford Lakes between Salisbury and Bournemouth, just the other day)

And now, on top of all that, we seem to be getting increasing numbers of cattle egrets too.  There are currently nine spending their time in a field near Romsey, in Hampshire.

So, if you haven't seen great white and cattle egrets up your way yet, Ullman, keep looking!  I am sure that they too, like their smaller, daintier relatives, will gradually spread north up the country!

As predicted by your good self WWD, cattle egrets have arrived in the area.

If you can play badly and win, totally shutting out an attack with the capability to score a lot of points in the process, then I take that as a good sign of my team’s progression.

I also think it probably had just a little more quality than was on display at the MKM earlier on… 🤣

More intensity I'll give you but that was it. Fair play though, Rovers never looked like conceding last night.
