You don't want the scores locked up with Marc Sneyd on the other side.

If anyone was hoping the error count would clear up they must be greatly disappointed.
Off the scale now.

I appreciate and understand why players do it but how many times do you see a player under a kick, jump and cause himself or his team more problems than he solves?
I lost count of the number of times on Friday night.

In spite of the errors, I enjoyed that, should be a cracking second half, Reds 6 in front but I still think Wire will win.
Very scruffy for much of the game so far but entertaining none the less.

Bloody hell how close was that? Thought it was a try all day at normal speed.
Lovely kick by Dufty though.

Salford forward pass goes unpunished so calls fairly even.
Wire error sees Reds hit the front.
Ratchford the culprit, his concentration sometimes needs attention.
Worst attempt ever at the old Lee Jackson up the jumper trick.

The rucks nowadays are a bit of a mess. I understand not wanting to blow up every 2 minutes, but we have messed up the tackle area with the clear instruction to not bother penalising tacklers.
There is absolute clear interference where all the advantage is with the defence. I think this is an area the game needs to be careful with.
Yep, and the whole game becomes a mess on the back of it.

Absolutely bang on, couldn't have put it better myself.
We've both been watching our team long enough to know what was coming last night. I'd like to say I was surprised by just how abject a performance it was but I wasn't.

We've looked out of sorts for a few weeks now, particularly in defence (something that improved massively in the middle of the season). In attack, we've been guilty of trying too hard and pushing plays that weren't on and turning the ball over. We're we like that last night?
Yes, some of the stuff we came up with was brainless. We were continually pushing plays that weren't on and the pass Tex Hoy threw for the interception was one of the worst you'll ever see. I know we were missing both our halves but that's no excuse for the rubbish we served up. You have to be able to adapt to losing a player or two. It happens.
Despite the best efforts of TransPennine Express I got there just in time for the start of the game. They should have done me a favour and just cancelled.

Can't see Rervers slipping up here. They're a far more effective unit than Huddersfield and have far more at stake
-
Looks to me like a good opportunity for Cas to more or less ensure survival against opponents who are in poor form and who have nothing at stake.
I think it's an opportunity they'll take.

Looking forward to seeing some action a bit closer to home today as the Tour of Britain comes to East Yorkshire.

Well just back from Wrexham and the second of hopefully three excellent days of watching the Tour of Britain. Tomorrow Notts.
A well run tournament.
Conversely back in RFL land, Friday went as expected for me. Have to say Wigan look marvellous. It was for me the best I have seen this season. Their defence was outstanding. Solly just added to the red mire with some woeful brainf@rts. I stopped Addy em up after half time. Surely the Title is for them now. Yup another Pies v Saints final kids.
I know we can't discuss referees anymore, but truly mystified that The King was not shown Red for that utterly shocking lunge (it was not a tackle). It was ###### and dangerous.
And how French escaped at least a sin bin for that tip tackle? I hear he has just received a fine, which on his wedge isn't actually a punishment. (to digress should fines be fixed or proportional to a players salary?)
Seemingly also curiously at just at this exact time, the gremlins have flung bans at Partington and Watkins as well. Missed how -just as perhaps someone who can't be named did on the King and Bevan incidents.
But it was well deserved win for Wigan.
I will say this-
the cheese pie was gorgeous
unlike two nearby big clubs, the staff at Wigan are great and polite
clearly success fatigue reigns at the DW as not a frisson of cheer was felt from the cherry red end on going top. We'd still be dining on that at Xmas if it was Salford.
And can someone tell whoever the DJ Piemeister is that tacky 80/90s Eurobeat house faded along time ago.
Next up the Wires. Truly big one of which apprehensive and comprehensive fatalism has took hold.
Ah well onwards goes the People's Club.
Tour of Britain is in East Yorkshire tomorrow. Well it better be or there'll be a few of us hanging around in Beverley waiting for the non-arrival of the riders.
The Notts stage is on Wednesday.

Slow worms are not worms and are also not snakes, despite looking a bit like them. I believe they are, technically, legless lizards (a few of a different sort of which can, no doubt, be seen on a Friday or Saturday night in a town or city near you!!)
They're not slow either. They can cover the ground remarkably quickly.

If they are continuing from where it stopped then the teams shouldn’t be fresh. Kit shouldn't have been washed ti make it realistic
I like your thinking.
Maybe it'll be like snooker and the referee will have to place the ball and all the players in exactly the same locations on the field.

Why would the Chairman of the HGSA not go along to watch his team twice in two days, poor show Meast I suggest you find a new avatar and not advertise the one you so proudly advertise.
But pray tell me why is it a farce what else could be done?
I am sure it will be high on the agenda at your next supporters association meeting and you will have already penned your contribution to the discussion, please share.
It looks like the least bad solution to me.

Couldn't agree more. Some players just attract this level of scrutiny, but imo he has been largely very good for us. Sure he's had some bad showings when we've been poor, but he has to join the queue there.
I do think it's a good example of the media and pundits influencing people, which is interesting linking it back to the Marcus Griffiths issues this week.
I think you've got something there.

Because he’s rocks and diamonds. And when he’s rocks he’s absolutely dreadful and looks like he doesn’t care/try.
He’s a good player when he’s on but he’s far too inconsistent
I definitely see the rocks and diamonds thing, there was a classic example last week, but from what I've seen the positives outweigh the negatives and he has the ability to break a game open. The thing I find strange is that people almost seem to fall over themselves trying to put the boot into him. It's like some weird obsession.
