Linos line defensive is atrocious,
But it's definitely the referees fault Leigh are ahead ...
His attempt on Lam was woeful.

Jay Pitts is only 35? Seems like he's been about for an absolute age!
I've always liked him as a player. His workrate is outstanding.

Good hands from Wakefield and a classy finish by Jowitt.
And he adds the two from wide out, 6-4.

Who's commentating? Only got Mrs. Goose to turn off Gok Wan and put game on seconds before kickoff so didn't catch who it was.
Sounds like Matt Newsum.

I last heard a cuckoo on 2nd June. However, yesterday in the New Forest, Mrs WWD and I were reminded that some are still around when one shot across the heathland in front of us at speed, closely followed - just about within touching distance - by an agitated, small, brown bird, probably a pipit.
I think the cuckoo will have been a female and possibly caught in the act of easing out an egg from the small, ground nesting bird's nest.
Apparently, there used to be a belief that a young cuckoo, having been fully raised by its foster parents, would kill them before leaving the nest. As far as I am aware, this isn't true.
Had a week's cycling in Tuscany last month. I've never heard so many cuckoos as we did in the countryside there.
The most common bird was the redstart though. Never see them here in East Yorkshire.

since 2024, since 2024, you haven’t won a home game since 2024
sorry I couldn’t resist
We're targeting sixth place.
Make the play-offs but guaranteed not to have a home game. Sorted.

On the plus side for Hull our next two games are away.

It will be interesting to see what a combined attendance figure will be. Looking at over 20,000 easily.
13,376 at the MKM so comfortably over 20,000 I would imagine.

Highlights of every Criterium du Dauphine stage on ITV4 this week. Can't ever remember a stronger field for this race.

Just seen a black-backed gull trying to drown a pigeon in the half-tide basin at Victoria Dock.
Pretty grim sight, didn't hang around to watch the outcome.

Wout Van Aert is a superstar cyclist ... one of the highest paid in the world.
Two days ago, he buried himself as a domestique to wind-shield his team-mate Simon Yates to overall victory up those mountains.
Yesterday, he buried himself as a lead-out man to enable his team-mate Olav Klooij win the sprint at the final stage in Rome.
If he has an ego, he keeps quiet about it.
Seems like a really nice bloke too. We watched him win a Tour of Britain stage on Beverley Westwood a couple of years ago. He was really happy to chat to everybody afterwards and he was great with the young fans who wanted selfies with him.

But what was del Toro doing? Weird. Great Stuff otherwise!
That really was weird. Seemed totally wrapped up in his battle with Carapaz and oblivious to the real threat even though he must have known what was happening.

Yesterday from Simon Yates was one of the greatest performances I've ever seen in a Grand Tour stage.
Only has to stay upright today into Rome and the Trofea Senza Fine is his, what an achievement.

Yeah Westerman looks handy. Dawson is the kid who did his ACL in pre season isn't he? I don't think I've seen him play tbh, but I've heard good things.
Yes, they've both had quite serious long term injuries. Hopefully not recurrent problems.

If we can sign a quality right centre, that backline will be as good as any in SL in another year or two. Pryce, Martin, Litten and Barron. All 22 and under, all British. Already quality players but with lots of improvement in them. There's pace, power, height, athleticism. Really exciting to watch as a Hull fan.
We also have two great prospects at centre in Ryan Westerman and Roman Dawson.

We have just kept it simple and solid and so far it's been more than enough. A worldie from Will Pryce was undoubtedly the highlight. Catalans really should be down to 12. At least for 10 minutes.
Different approach without Asiata and Cust but having a grafter like Aydin at loose worked very well.

Can we please keep Sam Eseh?
Gets better every week. I think Wigan will be very keen to keep hold of him.

He looks a very unhappy individual.

Loved the physicality and discipline from Hull.
In complete control from start to finish and never looked like losing once Ese'Ese scored the opener.
