I've had pheasant. It's a few years ago. I used to work with a guy who shot (and smoked) so I swapped him 200 Regal Kings bought in Spain for a brace of pheasant. Can't say I was impressed. It seemed dry and tasteless.
We had pheasant once when one collided with the goods train my dad was driving at the time.

My dad's car was on The One Show tonight.

Heathen!!!
It was nice, honest!!
As I say, I didn't used to like it. Don't know whether the beer's changed or my palate.

I had a very nice pint of Black Sheep in a pub in Staithes this afternoon.
I didn't used to like Black Sheep bitter. They must have got their act together.

Excellent did you enjoy?
Yes, very much.
It was a good night.

Dr Feelgood - Roxette. I can remember seeng them on the Old Grey Whistle test for the first time and thinking how good was that. Wilko johnson just rocked.
I was listening to your mate's band in Polar Bear last night.

I'm off up into the loft, I may be some time
especially if I knock the ladders over
You should maybe let somebody know where you're going, just in case.
Apart from us, that is.

We got an email at work today informing us there were still places available on the time management course on the 9th Feb.
I couldn't help thinking that it was just a little ironic. Either that or or they're teaching very advanced time management.

It didn't snow in BBC land.
Roads were covered in ice yesterday near me - the car was all over the place so we didn't get to the school bus stop in time so had to take my daughter to school then took an hour and a half to get into work. Plenty more snow yesterday too.
I was working in Beverley this morning. The Westwood was covered in snow. Would have looked really pretty but you could hardly see a bloomin' thing in the thick fog.

Last night it was Wilko Johnson live, relayed to the cinema after the screening of Oil City Confidential.

When I was passing through Etton earlier on today there was a dead blackbird lying next to a dead sparrowhawk in the road. I guess the sparrowhawk picked a bad spot to consume its prey.

A bit of a Psychobilly day for me...
One of my favourite tunes from The Rev that one.

The latest Halifax advert is very annoying indeed
You're not kidding.
You wonder if they've deliberately set out to make it as annoying as possible so it sticks in your mind.

Light rain here now with a rapid thaw under way.

Have I missed something but isn't it normal for winter to be cold and have snow ?. My optician is from Switzerland and she says that is laughable people here react to a dusting of snow. (her words not mine)
I thought the mild winters that we have had for years were the abnormal ones.
Next time you go you'll have to ask her why they couldn't keep their alpine tunnels open after a few cm of snow yesterday.

Nah , they wrapped him up in swaddling clothes , there was no mention of a nappy.
I thought they were maybe multi-functional.

The weather is bringing some rare sights, for me anyway.
Not related to our feathered friends I know, but there have been a lot of deer hoof prints in the snow when I've got to work in the last couple of days. I don't know whether it's normal for them to hang around the cycle lockers or that the bad weather is forcing them to forage for food further afield than usual.

I wonder what nappies were made of in those days? coz I don't think pampers were invented then.

Left work 1820, and as I left it started snowing, dumped about 3 inch in the time it took me to walk half an hour towards the curry house, No busses were running. That wasn't surprising given the fact they stop when it rains down here, no Bus goes to the hospital on a Sunday and all have stopped Mon-Sat by 8pm anyway. Guess who runs the
Monopolysorry franchise in Hastings? Yes thats right, the scottish pirates Stagecoach.I bet they keep the transport working up north where there is competition?
We had that one about 2:30, dumped 3 inches in an hour. It made pretty good progress to get to you by that time.
The buses were technically running, but they weren't going anywhere fast. Maybe without the competition they wouldn't have bothered at all.

3 mile island is actually 2 and a 1/2 miles long
Is that since the accident?

To busy painting and loving every minute of it. Staring at my last bottle of Chimay is the only thing that got me through it.
My daughter and her friends built an igloo in Pearson Park this afternoon. She's just been showing me the photos on her phone. It looks absolutely brilliant.

Thats shorts and t shirt weather in Hull.
