As you left beautiful Hampshire the snow was visibly melting - you really are a snow god
Does that mean the people in Hook (Hampshire) know their snow god?
-
Headline grabbing rhetoric apart, am I likely to encounter problems M1, M18, A1? Or do I really need to pack snow chains for the tyres?.
I've still managed to get to work on me pushbike if that helps.

Gargoyles reunion gig at the Adelphi last night. With former Housemartins Ted Key and Hugh Whitaker in fine form. Hugh stayed in the stool after the Gargoyles set and was joined on stage by a fine bunch of musicians, including some former Red Guitars members. I don't know what they called themselves but they played a superb rocking R&B set, including the best version of Booker T's Green Onions I've ever heard.
Absolutely brilliant night.

It's been moved...to Wrexham
You're on form this weekend.

I got minus 16 last night, which is a little chilly even for me.
-25 is the lowest I've experienced, but that was in a windless cold store.
Just started snowing again here.

Pony on Anlaby Common this morning. Doesn't look too impressed with the weather:

Prolonged heavy snow shower while I was at work. Left a covering of a couple of inches. Looked very pretty on the Norway Spruce just outside the office window. Got home, a mere five miles away, and there was barely a dusting of the stuff.

A Saab 900SE is a lot better than a Ford Focus for transporting a 9ft Christmas tree.

Later on this evening I will be in Leeds listening to Monster Magnet.

A reunion era performance of a Black Sabbath classic, Children Of The Grave.

Their bass player was the inspiration behind Spinal Tap's Derek Smalls, trivia fans. One of his piece of advice was to play a lot of open string stuff, as this leaves the left hand free for punching the air.
Didn't one of the 'band' once roady for Saxon or something?
-
Saxon are rock legends
They're still superb at what they do, old school NWOBHM.

as reviews go this one is already time served and logged in history
VERY loud, very fast, me ears ARE whistling, it's Motorhead and they play rock n roll
80% of the audience over the age of 40
( why do metal gigs always smell of spilt beer... )
And the other 20% are their kids.
-
it'll start with " me ears won't stop whistling.... "
Yes, three songs in and the sound engineer will be instructed to 'deafen the motherf**kers'. Some things never change.
Won't be long now till you hear the magic words 'We are Motorhead and we play Rock 'n' Roll'.
-
Somewhat disappointingly, my Fruit & Fibre was all fibre and no fruit this morning.
-

We're off to see them at Manky Apollo a week today.
I'll be expecting a review, mate.
