give it a rest
Are we now okay to say the scores from the last round of NRL games or do we need to wait a bit longer?

This situation is plainly down to the club gambling on promotion the last couple of years and spending money that it couldn't afford. Fev arent the first and won't be the last in doing this.
Or not spending money and pretending they had.

I think its just a matter of certain forum members want to disagree with any point of view I may have no matter what it is - if I said I was running round the world for charity it would be "the wrong charity"
Good of you to check that my reply had been wiped before replying.
I have reported this one though.

Craig Hall apparently still waiting on his testimonial money.
Gledhill (so, as ever, make your own call) said yesterday that Hall had now been paid a first instalment with a second now guaranteed to come.

So it matters not whether the NRL has impacted in the US as much as the domestic hype surrounding the event has turned up the volume for the NRL in Australia.
Tell me you haven't read the thread at all without telling tell me ...

People in York and Brighton complaining about house prices.
If you can't live within your means, don't blame others.
Was your paid-for-by-the-taxpayer education so poor that you think Hastings is in Brighton?

Agree totally with P&R between each division based on on-field performance.
The only issue, which I know is what the 8s bring in, is that 22 games feels too few but nudging 30 too many.

Has this been shunted to politics yet?

Really tell me what is was I never saw it, my wage was my only source of income.
You didn't go to school? You weren't born in a hospital? There were no nationalised utilities and industries keeping money in the country and services profit free? You don't now receive a benefit guaranteed to rise well ahead of the rate of inflation whatever amount you paid into the NI pot in your working life?
-
Anyway: 12-12-12 is the obvious answer for a 36 team professional set-up.
The 8s remain terrible.

I know lots of people who were repossessed
But Griff said your generation was financially prudent so that can't have happened?
I presume you think those losing theirs homes today are just spending too much on flat screen TVs?

15% of nowt is a lot less than 3% of loads.

It is all very revelent. House price v salery, in June 1980 I signed up for a mortgage of £51 a month that was the max I could afford on my wages we moved into the house in September and the payments had gone up just over 33% to £68 for our first payment, my missus had to do part time jobs on top of her full time job so we could survive it, I know and realise that is hard today when %'s rise, but they are nothing in comparison to what we had to put up with.
And again you take snippets of a post to comment on, what about all the other windfall benefits I mentioned? they obviously reduce and help with the debts, things we had to finance ourselves.
You received far more stuff for free and far state support than any young person alive today will ever receive,

That's financial prudence for you.
That generation spent more on beer than on their mortgage.
Because it was possible to do so.

15% mortgage not the 3% that is so abhorrent today,
Yeah. Compare the average house price with the average salary.

The point that people objecting to spoilers are making is that those who want to know the other scores can simply switch channels or use the little device the vast majority of us have within two feet of us - That would be the option in your scenario.
As long as spoilers are announced, those people who don't want to know the other scores can't avoid them.
Spoilers are now being extended to include 'matches played yesterday'.

Example from other sport - cycling, they never tell you what happened in other races on the same day as they know a lot of viewers are keen enough to watch 1 live then catch up with the stream of another race afterwards
Yes, we discussed cycling before.
Meanwhile, on TNT tonight, last night and the night before, they will update on the scores going on in the same competition as the one being broadcast, all whilst those are available to watch on adjacent channels.

And back on topic, 35 507 for Broncos v Bunnies in Brisbane.
You have ruined this game for me now. I was going to watch it back in full just for the cheer when they announce the crowd.

SL is more important to me but catching up my taped NRL games is great too....unless I didn't manage to turn the volume down and look away when Barry or someone says "and in the NRL earlier"
It's such an old fashioned and dumb practice in the smart phone and HD recording era
How many days silence should there be on Sky's flagship rugby league programmes about the world's flagship rugby league competition to enable you and a handful of others to watch the games without knowing the score?

Yeah its a ridiculous amount of money for postage. I'm surprised so many people think that is ok.
Second class small parcel - which I'll assume a membership pack is as a reference point - sent via Royal Mail is £4.69 if you want it signed for at the other end.

Do Premier League games start with Bundesliga spoilers?
No idea. But you will hear discussions of whatever football Sky has in the commentary if it becomes relevant.

I know you don’t watch it, but, trust me, nobody involved with Match of the Day is pretending that the people watching don’t know the scores.

So why does the BBC on its Saturday or Sunday night newscast prior to MOD and MOD-2 say when doing the sports bulletin, if anyone does not want to know the scores look away now?
Because it’s a sixty year old tradition.

Seen a comment comparing the RFL “special measures” response to Salford versus their apparent lack of action here.
There are some serious allegations here. Have they responded? Even if only to say they are aware.
