Salford & Rowley getting plenty of plaudits on the Saints match thread for last nights win, but I don’t mind admitting I find it unsettling bearing in mind the subject matter discussed here. If and when the wheels finally do come off, I don’t think I’ll be shedding many tears.
Which ever way you look at things regarding the constant financial support they get from the local authority. At least on the pitch they seem to be doing things right. I also like their style of rugby and enjoy watching their games.

Lovely try from the scrum. To think some numpties were wanting to scrap scrums.

Loans get paid back.
Normally yes, but in this case it's a gift not a loan

I would be interested to know how the council have got around the legalities of this. Surely there must be conditions and stipulations, for instance how it will benefit the wider community. Councils are not allowed to hand out money unconditionally to any individual or private companies.

, lots of referee
First time Ive seen the bloke but I think he did a good job, seems better than some of the more established super league refs. I didn't see him get a bad call all game

It's felt more like watching an upper mid table championship game than SL, but it has been entertaining. Don't think London are going to get many better opportunities for a win this year. Hull have been properly woeful and very lucky to get a win
Yes its hard to imagine london winning a game unless the make some quality adfitions to their squad

Kick to come, will the fat bloke do it
-
London need a goal kicker if they intend to win games. That little fat bloke is terrible

Tell me you've never watched Championship RL without telling me you've never watched Championship RL...
To answer the question it's Aussie James Vella, he's been over here about 4 years now.
I will be watching plenty this year unfortunately

Who is this referee, never seen him before ?

Total stupidity from Cross, nothing to gain but all to loose by doing that.
He has also given HKR the lift they needed to get them back into the game.

why some Wakey fans might see a disparity.
I know of another disparity
The Wakefield 106 agreement yielded £8.8 M
The Cas 106 agreement is to yield £12 M

I hate to say this but the only way ever forward would have been a shared stadium with Wakefield Trinity, too late now the horse has bolted Trinity will be the dominant club in the area.
And rightly so

Hi Agbrigg . As far as I know the seating in Princess Street will be temporary as the new stand will provide the seating requirements necessary for IMG criteria .
How long that will be will depend on the time it takes to finalise PP , and allow Axiom to get enough investors to be able to release the £12.2M funding .
Although PP has now gone through , it could still be some time before actual work can start on WR . In the meantime Cas will make the necessary adjustments (inc. Princess St Seating) to achieve the 1 point available for minimum stadium facilities .
Thanks,
I realise that it's only a temporary job now. However it will still cost and it seems a shame this has to be done when funds could be used elsewhere. One of the failings of IMG I feel.

Featherstone R vs Wakefield should be a good one.
That's the draw of the round, if televised it will be the game they pick I should think

Is the intention to put seats in the Princess Street stand a permanent alteration or is it just a temporary measure ?

I thought O Neill was fantastic, what a grafter that bloke is. He would be my man of match

Huddersfield used to be a decent side, they have rapidly gone down hill since Watson arrived

Do you think York will beat that oldham side?
Having attended the York Wakey match the other week I would say they could. Wakey won easy enough, but York were no mugs. Also let's not forget they were without Myler and Dagger that day. They also have home advantage, so it will be a close game

Another easy miss by that Hiku. Guy is useless, why they persist with him I do not know. James Barchelor is a fantastic goal kicker
well he was at Wakey

I disagree, he looks like he is trying to get a contract at Hull FC. He would fit in perfectly
Salford Bailout

I think you have misread me there Morris. Their constant financial support is an issue ,BUT from a rugby side they seem to get things right. I do agree with others that these bail outs are not sustainable and as a club thy need to address this sooner rather than later.
