  1. Betfred, I don't have any quams with them, I think they are a great sponsor... If I was the SL I would try and get a major French beer company to sponsor the league, so any televised games can get a free plug back in France. Also the SL needs a major airline sponsor like Easyjet or Ryanair for supporters travelling to France and vice versa. Plast the sponsors on the field like they do in the NRL.

In an interview given to our colleagues at L'Indépendant , Dominique Baloup, new president recently elected at the head of the FFR XIII , spoke about the many sporting events that this 2023-2024 season had in store for us.

Thus, in addition to the traditional championships, the federation is also preparing to organize some exceptional events. This is for example the case of the 90th anniversary of the birth of rugby union in France on April 6, but especially of the holding of the semi-finals of the Coupe de France Lord Derby in Marseille for the occasion.

However, even if the new president has revealed the host city of these semi-finals, we do not yet know which stadium will host these two matches.

At the moment, probably not. However, the biggies, like Canal+ or BeIN show a variety of sports of which some are not mainstream. So adding another one in the mix is a start. I find it odd that people are willing to sit for 5 hours to watch a cycle race. Or e.g. we have friends who are quite happy to watch a biathlon competition for a couple of hours. If you want to promote a sport you have to start somewhere. Look how successful wheelchair rugby has become!

Cycle racing is the equivalent of French Cricket
