How many fans participated, and what was the range of clubs covered within?

Over 3,000 in total, don't have data on spread of clubs I'm afraid but asked for info in comments.

A few left comments from Wakefield and Hull FC saying thier position is nothing to do with refs and MRP.

So assume extrapolating this that most the votes saying it's accurate are from those clubs. Not very scientific I know 😁

  3. Forwards Gil Dudson (Warrington Wolves) and Morgan Knowles (St.Helens RLFC) have both been suspended for five matches by tonight’s independent tribunals.

Dudson was referred to tribunal by the Match Review Panel on a Grade E charge of punching a Catalans Dragons opponent during Saturday’s Betfred Super League match in Perpignan. He is also fined £500.

The Match Review Panel had referred Knowles on a Grade D charge of dangerous contact with a Wigan Warriors player during the Good Friday derby at the DW Stadium. He too is fined £500.

An appeal by Leigh Leopards’ Ava Seumanufaga against a one match suspension, imposed for late contact with a Salford Red Devils opponent during Saturday’s game, was successful, the incident being downgraded from B to A and the one match suspension cancelled. He is fined £250.

It would function as a semi-professional level above the amateur game. If you want full time players it cannot be SL or bust, it cannot be that every player has to go from academy to first team, it cannot be that every 30 year old player who finds themselves outside of the first team has to retire.

The leagues below function as a safety net, a holding pen, and a developmental league for players. No one in their right mind is going to enter a profession where they either make it and earn good wages or don't and make nothing. Or a sport where there's no winding down possibility at the end of their career or when they find they can't quite compete at the top top level. This isn't NFL where even fringe players are set for life this is a sport where players regularly transition from stars to tradesman, you need these leagues.

I don't mind this idea but it doesn't have support. Clubs in championship and league 1 want the opportunity to gain promotion to the top league

I've suggested before that there should be one top fully oro league and then a semi pro league with reserve teams and semi pro clubs. Like mixing reserves and L1 with possibly some lower championship clubs.  Then an application to enter the top league similar to NRL.

But lack of appetite and all the arguments we have heard since SL began and have resurfaced during the IMG proposals will continue forever. Problem with democracy is you cannot make everyone happy and risk making nobody happy with a compromise.

It may take someone just to say this is how it is like it or not.

If you have a Google or YouTube account would appreciate some of these comments being dropped onto that feed, copy and paste would be great as it takes the debate to more people and every comment makes a big difference to our engagement score, which on turn makes the video more searchable.

    @superleagueraw1398

Stumbled across this earlier this week. Great show formats and actually show some of the highlights. Far better than some of the bigger hitters. No daft sods shouting at clouds(cough Gledhill) or old fools just screaming the word "MARKETING,MARKETING" at each other or ex pros spouting cliches at each other.

Seems like a good bunch of fair, passionate and articulate bunch of fans. Have a try. The more varied RL content out there the better.

Please comment below if anyone has any other shows or podcasts that you think are worth checking out!...

    Great work 👏👏👏👏

Although blue shorts are traditional, in 90-91, the last golden era, we wore red shorts with a white stripe down the side. Oh, and Charlie MacAlister had thighs so big his stripe was, reputably, twice as wide as anyone else

I played the following season and still have a pair of the blue shorts with castlemain 4X on them.

    My pants are now bigger

  10. Agh, duplicating as this ended up at bottom on previous page 😕

Some great points made, I'm struggling to know which way is best as arguments on each side are strong and convincing 😁

Would really appreciate if you could copy and paste your thoughts onto the YouTube comments section, oddly enough comments and thumbs up or down all increase the video engagement score far more than views and this helps push it up the searches 👍

So pls leave a comment there, subscribe and like of you can.

More engagement hopefully encourages more clubs to get in touch.

And for those who may not have seen the link a few pages ago.

I would have very little complaints if it actually turned out that the gradings were worked out similar to this. I'm very sceptical though although I would still only make it so the top team in the championship was eligable for promotion because for me personally the chance of onfield success is the only thing that is keeping me watching the sport at this level.

It's not something you can really look forward to telling the grand kids. "I was there when it was announced we got an extra point for fan engagement back in 2025" does not have the same ring to it as "I was there when we won the Challenge Cup in 2025".

I always though the aim was to have more than 12 teams in the top league.

So if many in tier two become grading A more than one team could go up. So P/R is only whilst we improve grades and increase the amount of 'A's. Once we have 16 in tire one automatic P/R will stop.

It's unlikely we will get 16 grade As anytime soon

  13. 🚨 BREAKING NEWS 🚨 The Dockhouse Rugby Show 🏉📺🎙️ can confirm the following:

RFL Reach Out to Keighley Cougars regarding IMG Proposals

Following the latest IMG "Reimaging Rugby League" meeting in Huddersfield, the RFL have reached out to Ryan and Kaue to listen and understand the very well publicised concerns regarding the IMG proposals.

Chair of the RFL, Simon Johnson met with Ryan and Kaue in central London on Tuesday spending 4 hours in discussions.

Ryan said "The meeting was largely positive. Simon listened to our scepticism and wants to reach a unified position where all clubs can agree to a restructure"

On behalf of the RFL, Simon Johnson agreed to feedback to IMG the concerns and proposals of the Keighley Cougars.

Ryan said "Our key points are that promotion and relegation should be on a 2 up, 2 down model. We tentatively agree that only category A and category B clubs should be in Super League, but that there should not be sub-grading within the A and B categories. We will continue to express our stance on the situation and of course update our fans in due course".

Incase you missed it here is our interview with Ryan and Kaue in which they discuss how they felt during and after The IMG proposals meeting

    Excellent,thank you.

A pleasure to listen to an interview conducted by intelligents interviewers who allow the interviewees the time to answer the salient points without interruption.

Good to draw out the unexpurgated truth.

If you get chance would appreciate if you could copy and paste this post in to the YouTube comments section
