  1. You know what, I'm going to stop caring In the short term this will advantage my team and in the long run it won't matter
  2. Which is fair enough, some work was needed But a top to bottom overhaul...no
  3. They had promotion & it nearly killed them Under this system they will never get close again Enjoy your RU
  4. Wonder which team will get slapped hardest for a salary cap breach next season
  5. Totally true But given the language they didn't necessarily say "bring back P&R" did they And again afaik they didn't make any suggestions, I'd love to get a copy of that report to see just what they said
  6. The thing is its not at the behest of the clubs is it KPMG have made a report saying there is a lack of "peril" in the league structure The RFL have come up with a selection of proposals based on god knows what that they are then telling the clubs to choose from Please correct me if I'm wrong but AFAIK none of the options the clubs could vote on was "do nothing"
  7. Yeah, the one time we were relegated it was probably the one time we "should" have stayed up!
  8. Yeah, the one time we were relegated it was probably the one time we "should" have stayed up!
  9. 2015 - two teams down, non promoted 2016 - one of the relegated teams wins promotion, the other relegated team goes bankrupt having tried to maintain a full time team in the championship 2017 - the team relegated in 2016 wins promotion... 2018 - rinse, repeat...
  10. Oh yeah, misread that one Ok London are gone for good then, probably one of Cas, Wakey and Salford - who out of the three only Salford would get back in Who in the Championship could get promotion if its based on "Standards" as suggested? Any?
  11. Haven't the RFL confirmed London and Catalans are exempt? So there will be a mad scramble to avoid the bottom two slots next season, who will fill them? Barring financial collapse of a current top 8 club it's a race between Cas, Salford and Wakey
  12. Yeah, when 6 clubs utterly dominate the game with the rest yoyoing up and down they will demand some kind of change
  13. Game steps back a decade A terrible, short sighted decision that has ignored all evidence and previous experience
  14. The whole argument of "you can't sell the championship without promotion" is an utter fallacy 80% of clubs in the championship will never be contenders for promotion even if unrestricted P&R came back in How would you sell that?
  15. I've said throughout it was never a ban worthy incident at all, it was a penalty for a sloppy tackle but that's all No way did he deserve to miss a game and definitely not a cup quarter final.
  16. Good solid player this season (especially since his return from a loan spell to HKR), but generally wouldn't be in the Giants team but for injuries I think
  17. With a foreword by Schoey, it'll be a flat cap manifesto lol
  18. People find reason to complain about the CC final, RL's biggest stumbling block in my lifetime has been its own fans (and clubs)
  19. Personally I like the medal table, sure it might favour a player who stands out in a club with less game breakers BUT the award is for the single player that stands out in a game, week in and week out It isn't which player from each team, it's which player from EACH GAME. So for a player to top the table it means they have stood out week in and week out as a fine and fair player against all opposition, home and away. Whether its Liam Farrell in a team if stars, or Jarred Sammut single handedly carrying the Bulls the points awarded reflect the players impact on the game, and in my opinion make it a worthy prize
