A hit up after a walmesley quick play the ball helps,
Maybe some forwards are intelligent and choose the right time to take the ball up

Sorry to tell you but they've changed the design since Christmas. Reminds me alot of Toulouse rugby union.
-
Thomas lacans is very dedicated, he's not very big but handles himself well at 9 and 6. He's quick with a good step too, His kicking game could be better but in a full time environment he'd excel, Baptiste is very skillful, especially his kicking game, he's quicker than he looks, maybe he has a flaw in his defence but again it could be worked on, if the Aude team ever appeared in the championship I reckon they'd both be recruited.
Thomas was in the Catalan academy u19s as a 16 year old. They both played elite 1 at 17/18.

The French team won't have any elite players in the team, they'll all come from super league or the championship,
Fabre is a very good player and doing well at full back, Boyer was playing and helping with the coaching in Toulouse elite team, he is looking to get a club in Australia at cup level if possible,

GB headguard for the titans full back?
Jaylan de groot.

Anything that gives another pathway into the pro teams is good.
It wasn’t uncommon, in fact far from it, for ex pro’s to drop into the national league in England but it’s really just shoving another hopeful out.
How is the young gentleman going at the pole espoirs by the way?
He's doing very well, having the time of his life, top level coaching, enjoying school and stays there all week with his mates, he has the second get together for the France u17s on Monday so fingers crossed. He still qualifies for the u17s next season so anything this year is a bonus and a good learning experience.
It's amazing how much he's physically changed by training every day, skills wise also.

Three teams stay in elite and the best players go to the Cathares and if they don't play drop back to their club in elite maybe, it would make elite 1 a lot more competitive. Less top players but definitely more competitive. It would give an extra stepping stone for the talented young French kids. I'm just guessing.

That's good to hear. The location between Perpignan and Toulouse is important I reckon. USC have in Pro 2 making head way. For the CXIII to relocate their operation at Domec was more than a good move. Can the clubs come together again as Aude Cathares just to enter the Challenge Cup. Rotate between the three grounds too.
I think they want more than just cup games Gordon,

The president's of Lézignan, Carcassonne and limoux got together last night for a chat about how they're running their clubs and the future, good to see the three clubs getting along, I'm looking forward to the limoux v carcassonne derby this Sunday and the carcassonne v Lézignan return match the 26th or 27tg February.

A bit of a sing along after the Carcassonne be Avignon game

Yes that's what happened, the player who took the quick tap and dropped the ball walked off in tears!

Lézignan now have an online shop, I don't know if they deliver to the UK or not.

St Gaudens v xiii Catalan at 15h French time live on via Occitanie and sport en France.
4 Catalan squad members in the team ( vaillhan, Franco, le cam and Rougé)
A young English lad (Lewis) at hooker for St Gaudens who managed to get back to France after being at the Montpellier sharks club at the beginning of the season, and I believe a kiwi has arrived to strengthen the st Gaudens team.
Both teams haven't played since the 12th December,
Lézignan v Albi tomorrow on the clubs Facebook page,
Villeneuve v limoux Normally on the leopards you tube page.
Toulouse v Avignon called off

It looks as though the numbers are little less than before COVID, especially in the colder months, people have are used to watching the live stream when it's cold

Lézignan pushing the ex origin team mates playing against each other with Maloney v peats on their flyers

Kevin Locke could be making his debut for villeghailanc today against pia in elite 2 , should be a good game and a good crowd.
-
Tomorrow should have been the cup round, a junior U19 game was played last week too.
Normally there's a full round of elite 1 fixtures next week, then a week off as it was a cup round,
Carcassonne won't play again until the 4/5 February
-
Did he play both when he was younger?
-
Like most players when their contract is almost up, the young English players in England have NRL clubs and union clubs hovering around, he has English super League clubs and union clubs hovering around, I reckon I could make it as an agent too, I've understood the tricks of the trade
-
Its a Toulouse player who's still in Australia swapping shirts with a basketball guy
-
The cup is now cancelled after all the criticism, so Carcassonne won't play again until early February, so 7/8 weeks without a game.
-
17 teams eliminated for the cup without reason or notice to the clubs, somehow keeping the same draw of carcassonne be Lézignan, the federation are refusing to re draw the cup, some of the clubs eliminated aren't happy, Villefranche have been eliminated and they're joint top of elite2 but a team from the third division is still in the cup due to its geographic position!!!
I hope the French don't do the draws and rules for the world cup in 2025!!!
Yes Gordon only 2 cases of COVID at Carcassonne and the same at limoux, it's the federation that told the teams that the games will be called off. Madness.
Elite 1 is back this weekend
