Hopefully it's only for this month, union, football, basketball etc are all still playing, the kids are not happy!

That's the most baffling thing, I know the lower division teams said they need to be able to sell food and drinks or they'd lose too much money, as for the kids there's no reasonable at all, especially as they've only played around 10 games in 3 years due to covid, and the licence prices have stayed the same and never been reimbursed, even last year when they didn't play a single game.

Villeneuve v Catalan called off already, COVID in the Villeneuve team, I don't think it'll be the only one to get called off, only elite 1/2 and elite juniors and elite women allowed to play, lower division, all kids and teenage leagues on hold for three weeks including all lord derby cup games, the only sport in France to put competitions on hold,

They've managed to sort out the draw, before the quater final draw the 7 teams that are left are put into a bag and the first one drawn out goes straight into the semi final. So only 3 games in the quarter final, this is the federation that wants the 2025 world cup!

The federation have messed up, there's only 14 fixtures in the last 16. So it would mean only 7 teams in the quarter finals,
Luc Lacoste needs to have a word with his team, all this after a lobsided regional draw etc. It would be like having a Yorkshire draw a Lancashire draw, a Cumbria draw and a southern draw up to the semi final for the challenge cup in the UK. Madness.

They've done a regional draw for the first time ever and didn't tell the clubs, also the round after is all set up too, match 10 v match 14 etc, the winner of Carcassonne v Lézignan plays the winner of Ille a Catalan to keep it local, the only problem is is that all the better teams in elite 1 and 2 are in the same area/side of the first draw,

Looking like the rearranged game Carcassonne v st Gaudens will be called off, St Gaudens can't raise a team dur to injuries and players being away on holiday!
They've just announced a signing from New Zealand so they should be ok for the rest of the season.

All the u19s games have been either cancelled or moved to other grounds due to the heavy rain we've had the last few days,

No the last couple of games he's been in the halves. I was speaking to one of the coaching staff who said it's a shame to play him 9 as he's playing really well in the halves. Personally I prefer him at 9 as he's quick, always makes th right choice.

The club's Facebook page, or YouTube page depending on the club, Carcassonne, Lézignan, are usually Facebook, Villeneuve,Albi and limoux usually you tube,
2 games a month to be on via Occitanie and sport in France from next week or the week after.

If the Catalan u19s play like they did yesterday v Lézignan they'll lose with at least 40 points against toulouse u19s

It's 4 degrees and windy in Lézignan.

He's going to villeghailanc, they're Carcassonne reserves but Locke won't play for Carcassonne. The reserve part as only been used so far by the villeghailanc reserve team (fourth division) playing some Carcassonne under 19s players as they where shorts of numbers. I can't see villeghailanc letting their star player (that they're paying,) risk injury playing for Carcassonne.

For a team that's full of youngsters they have been very competitive so far this season.
Olivier does a great job bringing young players through. He did the same at Lézignan when he was coach there, it's understandable as he's part of the creps set up in Toulouse (high level rugby league centre) where the players study and train at the same time.

They all looked strong for Toulouse, quite a few where bigger and stronger than the first team players! Some big squatting going on at the centre of excellence in Toulouse !

Carcassonne v Toulouse Saturday night at 18h30 the u19s game is streamed too on the clubs Facebook page, which shows be a very good game.

Villeneuve v Lézignan at 15h30 streamed on the Villeneuve YouTube channel I think.
Limoux v Avignon Sunday at 15h probably on the limoux/Stefan bonnery YouTube channel

Avignon u19s may be pulling out of the league due to lack of players, they called off the home game against the Catalan last week and played with just 13 players the week before, it's worrying times!

All games off this weekend, the clubs have been asked by the fédération to cancel, next week should have been the cup which won't be played until the end of January or maybe later, the games from this weeks cancellation will be played mid February. So Lézignan won't have played since early December, they should play in a couple of weeks time on the 23rd Jan, carcassonne last played mid December and won't play again until at least 29th January.
