Which one? My lads have both been at the pole and never had any contact with the catalans, the catalan lads even leave after the second year to stay with the xiii catalans u19s , my eldest was roommates with two of them, mathis fraysinous left last year too to be available for all the sessions at xiii catalans

  2. Carcassonne pole espoirs, salon de Provence pole espoirs, and pole.france at Toulouse, pole espoirs is where the young players study at school in one of the towns/city and train in the afternoons/evenings during the week, with quality coaches,  weights and ball work etc my youngest is at Carcassonne pole and my eldest has just left pole france at Toulouse, great set ups, it's a selection but the parents still need to pay for the digs and inscription, plus the clubs help out.

  3. Catalans have nothing to do with the pole espoirs, they even ask their players to quit the pole in the 3rd year to concentrate on training with them, Toulouse help out pole France in Toulouse,  training sessions with them and the Toulouse coach goes in sometimes to coach etc. Toulouse have a centre de formation. I've no idea if either club go into schools.

  4. He's a off the cuff player yes, but he can't control a game or lead a team around the park, if you need to win a game with 5 to go he's your man, there's a reason they started him on the bench v the academy and he only played 40 against Scotland, Avignon dropped him to the bench at the end of the season as other coaches had worked him out, yes you need to be able to play heads up rugby and take risks but the higher you go the more calculated the risks need to be and there's less chance of the risks coming off, but yes he's a very good player and will learn a lot playing next to gigot,

  5. Villefranche wolves are in there not villeghailanc, but I've heard it's very complicated at Toulouse and rumours they may drop down to elite 2, quite a few Toulouse players have moved to Villefranche and st Gaudens, also heard the catalans team is going to be very young as they have pulled a lot of funding for the reserve team to cover the travel of visiting super league teams, alot of the older experienced players they brought in last year will leave,

  6. Yes, the fact that they don't use the no maul rule annoys me, is there not a rule that if the attackers legs aren't on the floor it's held? Or did i lake that up, if he lifts his legs when being pushed he's held? Which is the correct rule for a touch kick? Cross the line in the air? As it was discussed on tv this weekend,
