  1. I don't see how as you referred to me as having no job and telling me I need to go to job centre...? Oh and once again i'm up at 6am as....wait for it... I have work till 3! Then i'm straight to the game.
  2. Actually mate I work 20-26 hours a week in my part time job. Might be McDonalds but in a manager there too. Lot of students I know have their tuition fees and accomdation paid for from mummys and daddys little trust funds and haven't done a days work in their life! I don't and work alot to pay for it as well. Now for myself
  3. Someone said further back that the club want a programme but the RFL don't - Sorry i'm new to forum so still learning how to quote and that! But anyway, why to the RFL not want the eagles to produce a programme? Also I don't think the eagles are fulling tapping into the student population. I mean all round Bramall lane there are student houses and right across the road in a number of direction you have student accomdation - The Forge, 700 students, the trigon, 300 students, bramall court, archways, leadmill point, the anvil. The list goes on an within half a mile, mile of the ground there must be at least 7,000 students living in the area. Now it's got my on board but speaking to a two friends living in the forge they said they didnt hear anything about the game. No flyers, posters anything around the halls. They've never seen RL but said a fiver to get into BL is great and hopefully i'll be dragging them along to the next game after wigan! But if the eagles need the bodies to promote then alot of cash-strapped students would more than happy to help if a free ticket or two went their way!
  4. Was my 1st ever eagles game and championship game for that matter. Thought on the whole the experience was good but there was so many little things that could of been added that would of made it alot better day and would of probaly brought more people back this week. I'm coming back again and again and will be getting a season ticket once this hatrick deal runs out but for me if the people in charge of sunday adjusted and added a few little things it would of been excellent. Examples - Seen no-one around the ground directing fans to the stand - No-one selling programmes - No-one explaining ticketing system even when mine saidd gates 1-6 when 68-75 or whatever where the only ones open. -No flyer, leaflet explaining the rules of RL for new comers - No flyers, leaflet for the next games - No-one selling merchandise - i'm sure the one offers with children would of bought a cheap flag or scarf for them! Also I hope the atmosphere improves once everyone sits together as when i got ther ei had no-idea where to sit and where the home and away fans would be. I know it takes man-power to do alot of things but cheap students like myself who want to go to the game would certainly flyer for free if it mean a free ticket or half priced one or something!
  5. New to the forum just like to say hi! I'm a student living in the city. From St Helens orginally but just want to say that your move has made me decide to go Sunday and hopefully purchase a season ticket after that. With 55,000 students living in the city I hope you tap into that market. I'd love to see Super League in this city and i'm excited for my first bit of Championship on sunday! Somehow i doubt the atmosphere will beat a packed Knowsley Road but can't wait nonetheless!
