I think the win against York should give this team some much needed confidence and hopefully we can push on in this game and cut out silly errors.
Dewsbury are going to be battling at the bottom the same as us, but it’s important we pick up the 2 points.

Yeah you guys have recruited very well for next year so it’s going to be a hard game for Barrow.

I’ve seen it’s just been announced that we have a new main sponsor with Northern Competitions coming aboard.
Hopefully this will provide the club with some much needed funds and they can support us taking it to the next level.

Not at the game but sounds like a very close game. I’m guessing we are playing against the wind in the first half ?

Oldham squad is very good this year and I feel if they were in the Championship they would be a top 6 team.
Be a very good test for the team to see where we are I feel.-

Wasn’t at the game but overall sounded like a good performance from the lads ! Going to be a total different level of test this week against Whitehaven and we can see where abouts we are at.
Also I think there is more to come from our team, Tom walker, Gillam and Bulman missing yesterday which I feel will add a lot to our team.

What’s everyone’s thoughts of tomorrow’s game against Hunslet.
Going to be a messy game by the looks of the weather conditions with heavy rain and 60mph winds at 3pm.
Be interesting to see which players we will have available tomorrow as I would expect the starting lineup to be a close to the best team we have as possible for a run out before the actual season begins against Workington.

No Ramon Silva in the warm up despite being named as starting. Currently only 17 players on the field. Missing Stack, Burke, Silva, Ogunwole from the forwards as well as Makin who arrives at end of month and Ellis who will return from injury point.
Hopefully all the players are not injured-

Should be a good tester for the Barrow squad tomorrow as North Wales are definitely not a bad team. Hopefully see run outs for Costello, Silva and Burke and S.Toal.

Thought Walker looked very composed and a calming influence in the number 6 yesterday with his distribution of the ball being very good. Looks like he could be a really good pairing with Johnson. Overall that was a very good performance from Barrow, we had a few academy lads in that team as well and Rochdale are no push over of a team.
To think that to add to the starting lineup of yesterday we still have Burke, Ellis, Costello, Makin and Silva then I think we can have a good season. Bookies have us joint favourites for going down so hopefully we can prove them wrong.-

It’s felt like a very long off season so really looking forward to tomorrow. I won’t be reading too much into the result but looking forward to seeing how this team goes. As people have mentioned this forward pack is one of the best we have had for a while and I think Costello will make a huge difference in the centre for us. COYR

I think what I find quite interesting about the statement from the club is that some of main sponsors have helped out with some funds to help increase squad size. So I presume that means that the club will now be aiming for more then the original 22 quoted

I must admit I am slightly worried with the lack of players with only being a few weeks out from pre season. I hope barrow have something up the sleeve.

Don’t think I really agree with that. Max Clarke put in a MOM performance in centre against York and looked a handful.
correct me if I’m wrong but Greenwood has never played centre so why would you move him out there ?
