He would. Farrell is pretty much always among the top tacklers and the top metres makers. He was our best metre making forward last week but because his tries have dried up and he doesn't make those line breaks people say he offers nothing. He's only scoring 4 or 5 tries a season now when it used to be around 10 or more but that's still pretty much what you'd expect for a back rower. He's giving us more than Isa did throughout pretty much all of his career and he was pretty much always in the team.

Cas looking much the better side in the opening quarter of an hour and deservedly lead. Wigan just looking lethargic and lacking ideas. Adam Keighran is making a habit of jumping out the line and hitting the wrong man. 3 tries in 3 games than can be attributed to his misreads and unwillingness to slide in defence.

Didn't watch live but hoping to catch up on Biffy Clyro's set tonight. There haven't been many acts that I've been interested in watching in recent years but Biffy usually put on a good show. There aren't enough heavy bands across the whole lineup sadly but I would LOVE to see Sleep Token at Glastonbury. I don't know how likely it is they'd headline the main stage. Wouldn't surprise me if they headline the other stage pretty soon though. -
Another soft try. Nsemba seemed to get jumpy in defence and pushed too narrow and left a gift of a gap between himself and Smith for Lino to thread that kick through. Wigan haven't looked threatening at all though, which will be reassuring for Wakefield. We don't look like we can score one try nevermind the two to pull this back.

Wigan should have more than enough to win tonight with the players Wakefield have missing but sometimes I think we play better against stronger sides. Sometimes there seems to be a lack of focus when we're heavily favoured. There's plenty of ressurance for Wakey fans expecting a drubbing given the way our form has been recently. Even when battering a shambolic Catalans side we were a bit out of sorts. Wigan also have a habit of conceding some of the softest tries imaginable, particularly when we've dominated territory. It's like the players focus more when they believe it's a real contest and we're up against a team that can put us under heavy pressure. If we win I think it will only be by a small margin, but I'm never confident when we play at Wakey as it's a ground we've struggled at plenty of times in the past. Even with players out there won't be a lack of effort.

Huddersfield well deserving of the lead. They are playing a fairly simple game and probably would have been further ahead had they not started the game a little error prone. Wigan are trying to play expansive on a smaller pitch and it's inevitable that the space won't be there unless we do the right thing down the middle. Once Havard went off our middles dropped off the pace and we've struggled to get going and to contain Huddersfield's forwards. I've seen this kind of performance from Wigan quite a few times and I'm not optimistic that it improves. Usually we struggle to get back into the right mindset having thrown it out the window early on in the first half.

The first point is an important one. I think sometimes people say 'this team didn't deserve to lose' but given you know the aim of the game from the start and that it's all about scoring more points than your opponents I don't think a team can be feeling sorry for themselves when they lose a tight game like that. It's a harsh moment for Lindop and hopefully it doesn't play on his mind too much. He's clearly got bags of talent and a bright future ahead of him. As a Saints fan I don't have to remind you about a certain Bevan French making a costly mistake in a big game. Things haven't turned out too badly for him since then. The perfect example of anybody being capable of making a crucial mistake in a big game. As for the grounding, regardless of what part of the body grounds the ball it has to be deemed as deliberate. If that wasn't the case then even picking the ball up from the in-goal could technically be classed as grounding if pressure is applied before lifting it up. An accidental slip would also count as being grounded. So since Lindop was trying to bat the ball dead and rolled over it because he missed it can't possibly be counted as a deliberate grounding.
