How so? Players have a short career which can end at any moment, mostly don't get paid particularly well, and need to look after their own best interests, because Paul Rowley certainly isn't going to do that for them.

Deon Cross scored in every game he played for Widnes one season, Salford offered him more money, so he joined Salford. He now knows that Salford couldn't afford to pay him the money he was promised,  players are not being paid on time, the coach was playing stupid games like picking the reserve team for the opening SL fixture etc etc. He got a job offer from his hometown club, who he has supported since childhood, so he rightly and sensibly took it.

Likewise Sam Stone, having played in the NRL and then for Leigh, he presumably had other options at the time he signed and was made promises that haven't been kept and which those running the club at the time could and should have known were not able to be honoured. He hasn't moved from the other side of the world to be wondering whether he's going to get paid each month, or whether he has a job in a months' time. It's not reasonable to expect professional players to risk their livelihoods like that.

Do you think Stone got an offer on the morning of the game? this is something he would have known about probably for over a week as a minimum. He could have gone to Rowley as soon as he had the offer and said boss don't pick me.

He has been injured for much of this season, Salford could have sent him home to recover as cost cutting but didn't.

I get the uncertainty over pay isn't what any one would want for a player but Sneyd and Watkins both managed to leave the club with best wishes of everyone.

  2. We have tried a variety of stuff. Potatoes are straight forward. Trying Mangetout  and snap peas Also have herbs and strawberries. We have a couple of patio fruit trees, just planted one of them this year and it only has 1 apple on it.

The 2 stella cherry trees are stripped most years by the wildlife.

Yeah that sucks for the kid. We were never admonished for the rapidity and randomness of going around the places, we’d often bounce back to the ‘cool’ stuff, to their credit my mum and dad left it as a fun time for us.

Me and my brother now both have kids, admittedly now all 20+ years old that would rather do museums too 😆. They’re coming up to Toronto for the first time this year and instead of the CN Tower and Niagara Falls wanted to do the Royal Ontario Museum, Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum and the HMCS Haida.  Go figure!

We had a holiday in the area and followed the Niagara river, we found a couple of great museums, that's were we discovered the 1812 war

  4. Simply Corporate recently published this advice

A winding up petition represents the most serious threat to the future of your company and if nothing is done, it will result in the company being closed.

If your company receives a petition, you need to act fast.

Following a petition being lodged at court, a notice will be placed in ‘The Gazette’ which is monitored by creditors who will be alerted to act.

The bank will freeze your company’s accounts which will stop trade. This can happen as soon as seven days after the petition has been served.

If you cannot repay the petition debt and the core business is viable, there are options to prevent your company from going through this process if you act fast:

    1. Dispute the debt.
If there is a legitimate dispute and your company can provide clear evidence to this effect, then the debt can be disputed at court.
    2. Restructure the business.
You can apply for administration through the courts if you can demonstrate that the business of the company can be rescued, or it provides a better outcome for creditors than winding up.
    3. Implement a Company Voluntary Arrangement.
Negotiate a formal agreement with creditors and create an affordable repayment plan for your company’s debts.
    4. Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation.
With the permission of the petitioning creditor, you could look to go through a voluntary liquidation process allowing you to nominate your own insolvency practitioner.

Speaking to insolvency practitioners might seem daunting, but at Simply Corporate we offer empathetic, practical solutions tailored to recovery.

Acting sooner increases the chances of overcoming financial difficulties and securing long-term stability.

It’s usually a few weeks afterwards to allow the Company to either pay the debt or to  reach an agreement eg repay over a set period of time

They are usually advertised in the London Gazette so others know they are taking action. Salford can't make offer to pay when they can't pay the staff.

Yeah it's no wonder people think there's something perfectly normal about P&R with such rubbish models to work from.

And if I was PK you wouldn't have seen my anus for the dust particles but I guess that's always been what marked him out. Though by saying that I might  be in for the rounds of the kitchen. In any case all the best CR!

He has previously given PG for the debt. The new owners were meant to pay those off and haven't. It's why he is involved now to save his own skin,

  7. Salford are a basket case and even though I am a season ticket holder I can't bear to watch them.

The team will soon just be made up of loanees and Juniors. I was unhappy with the way Cross handled his move but I don't blame him leaving.

I must say this at least every couple of years but the Manchester name won't do anything to sell the game or get more fans in to watch, this would be true even if we played at the Etihad or or OT.
