He's certainly one of the game's great finishers. However I've always believed that true wingers can get the ball in their own ten and pop it down under the sticks at the other end I don't believe Ryan is one of those. However I'd never dislike the guy because I think he's a role model for any player and a credit to the game.

Slightly off topic,
doesnât anyone have the capacity for a bit of jovial rib taking and inter club banter anymore!
As Heath Ledger said âWhy so seriousâ everyone wants to take some high handed approach or grandstand from the moral high ground. Whereâs the fun gone!
If the cap fits!!

I'm relaxed about it. I'd obviously like us to win and would celebrate long and loud. Should we lose it would be a disappointment but not the end of the world. They've shown enough in these first matches to give us hope that better things are on the way.

Josh Hodson had a shocker, saw him miss 4 consecutive tackles, including the one on Herman before he was hooked after 18 minutes, never to be seen again.Â
A shout out to Minchella who came across very well on camera. Definitely potential tv punditry work for him post career, clear and articulateÂ
Good call. Perhaps he could replace the insufferable Wilkin. (We live in hope).

Not only is it our closest away game after Hull KR, but I think a lot of fans enjoy the atmosphere of the old place. It might be falling apart but it's not without it's charm. I've seen some very memorable games there through the years and even played on it myself a couple of times. I'll be sad when you eventually move.
Let's hope you're still around when they finally move.

They say in life you usually get what you deserve and that was never truer than today. Where's the Leigh team that came to our place and played out a thrilling extra time draw. Rovers were just far too good for them.

Chamberlain going 60 meters off a forward pass tells you everything you need to know about the lack of quality in this game.Â
ÂBang Saints - Wire on. Genuinely quality RL game.Â
Grow up!!

We have rules for a reason, under the rules youâd still have 70%. How much home advantage does Hull FC need? Season tickets donât include cup games, Iâm sure theyâd get over it.
Just a cynical move. I understand why, weâd sell the whole 7,000 and we all know what impact theyâd have. But still a cynical move.Â
Hey ho. Iâll just buy another box and spray you all with champagne instead
Just a better class hooligan then?

I'll never be a Rovers fan but all credit to them for dismantling Saints. Worthy winners but Mr Wellens looks to be in some bother.

Well I think its been universally accepted that despite it being a great game from the players, it unfortunately wasn't from an officials point of view. They were awful and I hope that RFL take the necessary actions (but I doubt they will).

Can see Leyland being Layed off !!
Looks poorly conditioned and defensively weak.Â
Shades of Derek Robinson and his days at Britiish Leyland.

Oh for sure. And in the new IMG era we will see clubs actively scouting for players with a larger ass ratio to display the sponsors in a "bigger" light.
Can they charge more bigger back ends?

Saints by 75. Saints much improved coaching line up (and better luck with injuries) to make them a threat this game.
Amended for accuracy's sake.

That's brilliant, especially for a Friday 7.30pm kick off. I was a bit gutted it wasn't Saturday (alhough understandable with the Wigan fixture) as I wanted to go to this one.
With Leigh opting against taking any of the gate split it should be a decent earner for Worky.Â
I would imagine this is a Degsy decision and whilst I'm no great fan of his, full marks for giving Worky a hand up. We need to see strong Cumbrian representation as we had in the distant past.

Why can't some folk just be humble enough to congratulate the winners (wherever they're from) instead of trying to score petty points. Time to grow up methinks.

Well unless you have extremely difficulty walking, I believe using stadium car parks is a mugs game. In the past I have been stuck for very long periods trying to get out of the ones at Wigan, Hull ,Salford and Huddersfield.Â
10 to 15 mins walk away from the stadium and a quick get away, is my choice.
The simple answer for visitors to the MKM is to use the park and ride facility. No cost for parking and just a bus fare to pay.

This news just in. Our 17 year old granddaughter has just announced her A level results. It seems she has 3 x A stars. I asked her how she knew when she hadn't sat her exams yet. "No problem", she said. "I've marked the papers myself "
That's brilliant. Has she applied for a job with Degsy?

I was thinking more about this and most NRL teams have what you may call a classic half back pair that are akin to the old 6 and 7. I dont recall Australia playing with anything else in my 30+ decades watching the game. Whether they sometimes play left or right from the middle of the field is neither here nor there.
Are telling us you've been following the game for 300 years. I don't believe you!!
