Olstrum at centre is a really baffling g decision. Especially with Pez on the bench

Team selection is a bit baffling. Still persisting with Teare on the wing

Will Town and Fev be playing for the Billy Ivison trophy this week , I'm sure it was brought in a few years ago , I might be wrong .
What's the relevance of it?

Well i know it's easy to be negative from listening to on the radio and apparently Chris was scathing in his interview, but from being 18 down in 12 the the scoring was equal until late on. Yeah 68 is horrendous and there are obviously things to work on like goal line defence and catching on the full, we actually held them up then let them get the ball down, but we honestly didnt struggle to make ground but we did lack size in defending our line. Two knock ons in the first 5 of the second half is a coach killer. What i did like was whenever we conceded we were straight back at them and looked like scoring most of the time. We've got new signings coming and i'm not preaching to the converted but we really need to stand by them week after week until they find their feet ..hopefully they will cos i don't fancy conceding 60 points every week!!
Signings, or signing?

Despite the score-line I thought Town were not that inferior.......I do think however the halftime situation should have been better. Town's delicate 6-4 advantage was always gonna be tested in the awful prevailing bad weather - which was even more of a factor as it poured down during the second half to give Thunder even greater advantage, Town only had the wind assistance then for 40 mins.
But why on earth didn't Town 'take the two' when given pens in that first 40? Hell's fire Forber would have no problem banging those over...And then Town would have been at least 12-4 up at the interval.....instead some sloppy play was to no avail...brains, brains...come on wise up. However like I said Town were not that inferior although the Thunder's number 20 did show that a big powerful running forward can be a major advantage...let's have one at DP a.s.a.p.
5 penalties awarded in first half, 10 points wasted

Tough luck today I thought. Lost the ball twice in the act of scoring. Ultimately didn't make all the ball and territory count in in the first half. Thought we should have took 2 points on a few occasions.
Thunder are a full time outfit looking at the play offs. Using that as a measure I'm confident we won't be the whipping boys some make us out to be.
Few strong performances from Oscar Thomas, Jake Lightowler and Evan Simmons I thought. Hope Matty is back soon and Jake can recover from what was a clear high tackle!
Producing that effort every week will see us fine
A blatant high tackle, and then the incompetent ref gives a scrum to Newcastle. Couple of obstructions for first two tries in second half

Rochdale , Premiership semi final 1993 . They were in a higher league and had a good side . Thousands of us went and it was one of the great days away , Dessie scored twice , and his second try just showed how good he was . Look it up on YouTube , in and away and he was gone
Happy days

I recall a play off game at Huddersfield in the Peter Walsh glory days of the 90s when Tony Kay fed Dessie a short pass on the halfway line and in the blink of an eye he was putting the ball down under the posts for a crucial try. I was sitting in the main stand and it happened right in front of me, but i never even saw that pass, so it says a lot about Tony Kay but even more about Dessie. Absolute legend.
I remember that, as soon as he got the ball he cut insude and touched down under the posts. Pure class

In 1983 he was 2nd in the BBC programme 'Superstars'. In the 100 metres he clocked 10.85, which was fast enough to qualify for the 1984 Olympics. He was still rapid for us as well

Such a shame, great player
