If the proposed changes are said to be believed i.e. sooperdooperleeg stays the same, with all the money, and the championship and league one combine, then getting promotion from league one is irrelevant.
I have been advocating for years that we let sooperdooperleeg go its own way and we have a Second Great Schism and the rest create their own "Rugby League".

Reading that Huddersfield are releasing a few players at the end of this season. Nathan Massey is one of them. Chris McQueen is another but he'd want a few bob to join us.

As soon as anybody hears anything about how they are going to restructure League 1, please let us know.
What I think is sooperdooperleague will stay as it is, with Wakefield avoiding relegation. The rest will become one division with sides playing sides nearer to them home and away, as it was many years ago. With a fixture list pf 24 games.

Did Doncaster break any rules bringing those super league players in after the signing in deadline? Let's be honest if they did then any side could do the same in the future.

The season started brilliantly, the Yeds scoring for fun with free flowing rugby the likes of we hadn't seen for years.
I feel this was down to Littler and his coaching team. The wheels fell off the waggon when Paga was suspended and Littler was sacked. Our game changed completely into the dreaded one man rugby evidenced over the years. It makes you wonder were we would have finished in the league if we had started the way we finished losing to near bottom teams and nearly to Rochdale.
All I can hope for is for all the talk about players coming in, and taking the division by storm comes to fruition.

What do you know about Logan Astley? he was something special when he was on loan.

Herbie can I apologise for using the expression "deadwood", you are right it wasn't appropriate.
What I was suggesting was those players who won't be with us next season could be moved out sooner than later and their places filled with players who will be with us next season.

Just read Ridyard has signed for Rochdale, with Wilkinson and Baker off to Widnes, and I suppose others are on their way, I can't see them putting much into this game.
I honestly can't see any body stopping Doncaster going up, so it might be best losing on Sunday and then on Monday have a clear out of the dead wood, so beginning the rebirth of our great club.

To RR what is meant by " says it all really?" Are you implying I have some common sense after spending 3 hours travelling to and from Doncaster and paying over £50 to get in? to watch one of the worst Oldham performances in 62 years!

So what you are saying is that any club can bring in players from overseas on a work visa, importantly at any time. So Oldham could have brought NRL players in to guarantee promotion even though there are rules stopping dual reg players and a signing deadline rejecting this.

Last chance to move onto the next round.
NWC seem to be hitting form just as we have lost ours. It will be interesting how many turn up after the Doncaster debacle.
Sadly, I can't be there, I've got to find something to do.
