Now, about my experience of the day and the stadium.
I thought the stadium was superb, the acoustics and the views and the general feel of the stadium was fantastic, far better than Wembley, it had a feel of a proper ground about it rather than a corporate bowl.
I was in the lower tier with the noisy Giants fans and even the upper tiers felt close despite being high up, at Wembley the upper tiers feel so much further away, almost like a separate ground, even in the upper tiers at Wembley, the lower tiers seem so distant too.
Despite the area around the ground being less than salubrious, it felt "homely" with the High road being blocked off and fans up and down the High road, it felt like there was a closeness that you don't get with Wembley's vast expanses of shopping centres, hotels and corporate office blocks.
Travel wise, we had no problems, underground to sevens sisters then a fairly slow bus ride up to Tottenham, after the game we had a drink and made our way back to seven sisters initially by bus then a short walk after the bus was taken out of operation, then back to kings cross for a drink before our train home.
Wembley, despite it massiveness, it's corporateness it's good, but this felt like a really good alternative, I'd be more than happy to go back, although I'd be less inclined to pay £6.75 for a pint though!
as a regularat spurs, i did notice yesterday that the beer was £1 a pint dearer yesterday, not sure if thats a price increase for nwxt season or yesterday. brewery inside the ground, so cant be put down to transport! enjoyed the game with my son as neutrals.

The Corner Pin, a Beavertown Brewery pub will also be open.
beavertown brewed & sold in the ground, also an outdoors bar at south stand terrace, bars in south stand open for an hour after game for those in no need to rush out.

the talk of spurs ground not being week served by underground, its got 2 main line stations within 5 min walk of the ground, both have underground links a stop or two along the line. if 60k+ get there every spurs home game & NFL matches it cant be that hard to get to! i park at Ikea, a 20 min walk away easily enough every spurs home game, no restrictions there. tesco next door does have restrictions (2 or 3 hours i believe), so be careful if parking there. good beer & plenty of bars in ground, well staffed. but not cheap, similar to wembley prices. no cash taken in stadium, even for programmes. i am going

Off topic but London Skolars are playing Oldham at home at 7pm the night before the final. Seems really near to Spurs ground too. I'll be driving down to London on Friday evening from Wigan so I probably won't make that on time
if driving to new river for skolars game, watch for parking restrictions. the car park you pay for, but you can park on the street free of charge after 6/6.30. many miss this oddity. but check signs. been there many times

how is the project going? hopefully the only good thing to come out of the lockdowns is that stats can be up to date with last season null & void, apart from the couple of rounds of matches played. as they were played they should be included in clubs records.

wish you a full recovery mark, & good luck with the project.

ok, I have all corrected tables & "all time" tables for tier 1.2.3 & 4, but I think the tier 4 for about 6 years in early 2000s were not regarded as "first class" as no P & R between them & bonus points also. getting line ups for 70,000 games is a mammoth task, but semi achievable with groups working on different teams. some clubs have for sure full records, but defunct clubs will be harder to say the least. but a challenge. I did help on a cricket project (minor counties), although difficult most problems were overcome. some players initials not confirmed so uncertain of all players. let me know if I can help. if we are going to do First Class only at the moment this will give us boundaries to work within. also which comps outside league games, eg county cups etc

I would like to join the new RKC. I have all tables (some corrected from RLRKC booklets, just a few), cup finals etc, these are for top 3 tiers of RL, also all final tables, play-off scores & cup finals of NCL. Also regional league tables & play-offs, but a number of details missing here. Would any of this be of help? We do not want a number of people doing the same research do we. Are you going to cover county leagues also? I mean Yorkshire, north west, Cumberland, pennine etc.
