When did that close down? Not heard of it before.
It was the sound track to the life of Normanton Grammar School sixth form common room in the mid sixties, I'm guessing it shut down when radio 1 came on the scene.

What I'm not listening to.....
I've never knowingly listened to radio Caroline.
Radio Luxembourg was a crackley adolescent favourite of mine, but Caroline has escaped my earoyles
270 on the medium wave was anchored off scarborough. So if you are of a certain age and living in Yorkshire in the mid sixties that was the go to pirate station on your transistor.

Perspective has finally solved an age-old argument: Yorkshire 21% toxic but Lancashire only 13% toxic.
we try our best. But 21% isn't nearly good enough

Nothing. The only music I want this morning is the birds in the garden.
Peace, tranquillity, two pints of tea and a double fried egg sarny.....
Love n peace man ?
Same here. Dogs walked and now snoozing, our Angus gurgling in his mam's arms. Egg butties on the way, bird life orchestra doing an improvised symphony, with the odd interruption from my tinnitus. It's all you need sometimes.

Vicar Lane, Bradford is in Little Germany a minute's walk from the Broadway Shopping Centre.
The local council is keen to encourage businesses to locate to this area, so they gave approval for a hostel to be built directly opposite my workplace. I think the police spend more time there than they do at the Police Station.
Do you know I must have walked along it hundreds of times and not realised it was called vicar lane. It wasn't as you describe it in my day!

Sorry, my wording was poor. What I should have said was from the "deal going down". There can be problems with that round here. Which is unfortunate.
Ah I see what you mean. I thought it was strange. I lived in Bradford for years and don't remember there being a vicar lane. In my day that kind of thing went on in the Manville on Thornton Road.

I've been visiting pinderfields hospital a lot lately, but this applies to every hospital everywhere.
I detest having to run the gauntlet of smokers outside the entrance, some of them patients with drips and in wheelchairs, but by no means all: and having to walk on carpet of tab ends that they leave. There's no smoking signs everywhere but they don't give a flying fart. It's a hospital!

Irritates the living sheeite out of me.
It's farm land and woodland round our end Robin. We prefer it if people don't bag their dog muck up, rather than do what I described. It's ugly and dangerous . But yes it does my box in as well
