Two hits in 8 minutes from KR that would've been yellow cards if this were a league game.
-
It's a stupid game anyway

Have to wonder where this effort and attitude has been from Castleford. Probably the best half of rugby we've put together probably since round 1.
Keep it going in the second half!
-
I'm going to preface this by declaring interest - I'm a Cas fan and so I might be a bit biased...
I think any plans for expansion need to include what we already have. Cutting teams loose in favour of hypothetical clubs in big cities seems incredibly dangerous. Rugby League in general and fans in particular have this "build it and they will come" attitude that we just don't see in practice.
Starting where we are and building has to be the way. We also need to pick a ****ING structure and stick with it. I quite like the IMG process, notwithstanding the idea of promotion by spreadsheet issue. But it is already starting to bear fruit with Wakefield's renovated stadium and Castleford finally doing *something* (better than nothing) with theirs.

If a team can chop and change their team each week as long as those named in the playing squad are under the cap, you dont have a cap.
At some point there has to be some form of punishment from the RFL. At the moment Salford are doing what they want with no sign of repercussions. Failure to pay players on time would be a points deduction in other sports.

Worst kept secret is Cas have the smallest pack in the league and it shows. No go forward at all, no pressure in the opponents and just get rolled backwards in defence.
Almost feel like we need to play like we did at the end for the full 80 - throw it around and try to outmanoeuvre the other team. The traditional arm wrestle just isn't working.

I am unable to show you the away kit for Cas because you may suffer the same demise as those on the Star Trek (original series) episode titled ‘Is there in truth, no beauty?’ where Dr Miranda Jones accompanies the Meduson ambassador Kollos whose appearance is so hideous it causes humans who see him to go insane!
Go on I dare you to go to the Cas website and look at the jersey!!!!!!
Are you kidding? It's outstanding. Went to get one today but had to settle for a home one since they didn't have my size (massive).

You don’t deserve a shed. Nobody ever brings more than 200 people anyway to be honest, unless it’s a special occasion.
Maybe if you built a new shed for people to stand in, more would come?

Hull KR lucky there. Player looked to attack the head on the floor, although the replays didn't run that far
-
Brilliant effort by Cas - if we can string a few performances like that together we'll be doing OK for where we are in our rebuilding. Cain Robb absolutely has to start at hooker though.
Something needs to be done about players running in and then getting the decision though. Yes, Miller was high but Thaler was OK with it until the Wigan man came piling in. Needs stopping.

Don't start that!
See the recent thread!
You know I'm right...

Deliberate knock ons should be a penalty and potentially a yellow card.
-
Draw probably fair. Leigh wasteful at times, Cas great scramble defense and took their chances when they came. Great to see them battling to end - last year we would've collapsed at 24-10, but stuck at it

There was mitigation, in that Field was falling. But the fact that it was a shoulder charge with no effort to wrap should be an aggrevating factor. Lucky it was only yellow
-
As bad as Castleford have been so far, at least we expected it. I can't imagine what Hull FC fans are making of this mess
-
It was a forearm directly to head. Falling attacker or not, and the Comms seem to think that isn't considered mitigating anyway, that should've been red

Watts because of his previous?
Pele was charged with a Grade E offence, which carries a 4-6 ban. What has previous got to do with Pele getting a smaller ban than the minimum for the grade, despite a deliberate swinging arm to the head AND throwing a punch in the resulting melee?
-
Fair play to Wigan, good value for the win.
From a Cas perspective, a lot to be positive about. Last year, following the red card, we would have fallen apart and 70 would've been on. Instead, they kept going, worked hard. Still some questions about the attack, but defence is a huge upgrade on last year.

One was forceful contact from shoulder direct to head, the other was careless tackle where the defender was put in a dangerous position
Is picking someone up and dropping them on their head not forceful contact?

I'm sorry, but how is what Watts just did worse than what Smith did?

Marshalled this week. Almost as much fun as doing the run. Even ran the last 500 metres or so with one of the back markers, offering encouragement. Given the heat, I'm glad I didn't run the whole thing!

I'd like to try other ones, but I don't drive so it's difficult getting there. I've done Doncaster once, which was a nive change because it's flat.

6 games for Horne, Rhys Martin found not guilty somehow. Ben Garcia 4 (or maybe 3) games for punching people.
Horne was daft for doing what he did. But the Wigan player was clearly time wasting - Wigan even sent a letter on behalf of Horne - and in the context of the set of six that should've been clear.
6 games seems excessive in comparison to other bans so far this season.
