Sam rolling back the years. The beauty of a semi final is that, however it pans out, if it’s close the tension ratchets up and up. A moment of genius and the south of France is in raptures.
I was reading the Guardian report, and they stated that Roby was Saints’ best ever player. He’s no Joe Egan, but each club has its own standards I suppose
Roby has been a fabulous player, over a long period of time, but I think Cunningham was better. He was a one man pack. There was nothing he couldn’t do and no game was truly lost while he was playing.
Paul sculthorpe was a better player than either of them imo

Depends how you define it I think
James Roby is a fantastic player, he’s not the best player in the last 20 years IMO though, most consistent maybe

Saints are awful in the ruck, about time they got pinged for it

Scrappy but a good intensity within it. A great watch, very physical.
I think it’s been an awful watch, just constant messing around at the ruck

The ruck is awful in this game, and its spoiling it, both sides as bad as each other, neither seem to want to actually get on with playing RL

From the Gaurdian 23 Jan 2010 — As Kevin Sinfield said after the Grand Final "all our players could earn more money elsewhere"
Now tell me again I am wrong. Seems I know more about your club than you do.
You are very typical of some of the know-alls I employed in Leeds.
13 years ago Harry
And that statement doesn’t mean they were badly paid either

There is some branding!
Looks like they have kicked Global off the screen sponsorship at the same time...
Eagled eyed twitterers noticing that the 4 tweets by the the Rhinos today started with
B R O D…

That's what Kevin Sinfield said a few years ago.
That was in the past Harry, thought you were all about the here and now

I do think it's odd that they didn't have at least some AMT branding up there.
The sponsorship deal all in is worth at least £6m by all accounts so a record total for Leeds, more than the 10 year £2.9m Tetley's deal from the mid-1990s.
I do agree with them having some branding there, not sure why they didn’t

nope never... and I still don't know what precisely they do. Of course it may or may not of prompted me to google search.
I guess their marketing organisation will be monitoring any immediate uptick in web visits and enquires for their services following the press conf to see if it was a successful marketing opportunity.
I think seeing as though its a 15 year deal they might be measuring a bit more than whether this press conference was a success. And have a few more marketing campaigns in the pipeline

well yep, it seemed quite amateurish to me... the company's as in AMT marketing department must be almost non existent to have such a press conference. Nor Leeds marketing...
It sought of typified the whole of RL with respect to marketing your brand...
It’s done it’s job, there wouldn’t have been journalists talking about it or a thread on here if it was just a press release.
Had you heard of AMT before Today?

Does anyone know if there is any truth in Lafai being sold aswell?
Well Leeds do need a centre, maybe a two for one deal.

Think most Salford fans are aware of the restrictions on the club. We will always sell if the amount is right
Looks like you’re getting Nene Macdonald next year, must be part of the Croft deal surely?

Nene Macdonald officially left Leeds Rhinos, a shock to nobody.

not quite kit related.. but does loosely feature some kit.
Frazer Davidson, a well known branding designer (among other things) is currently doing an unofficial rebrand of NRL and SL clubs on his instagram account.
Well worth checking out if your a fan of club branding and kit design.
https://www.instagram.com/frazdav/?img_index=1The Warington and Leeds ones are absolutely terrible! Which is strange because some of his other stuff is pretty good

So Leeds are rumored to have an announcement for a big sponsorship deal tomorrow.
We once had a similar big money deal spent it all and almost died . We had a different management then
Ive got a feeling the sponsor will be Caddick Construction and they will be planning to buy the cricket part of the stadium aswell to stop Mike Ashley buying it.

Quality signing that. An upgrade on Macdonald.
